This week marks 14 years with my wife and 7 years of working for myself. Time flies for sure because it feels like it’s been 6 months since lockdown hit and I was totally unsure if this would hold on or fizzle out.

Toyota hybrid battery replacement has been on my menu for quite some time. Only do them every so often because they ain’t cheap, but you know what else ain’t cheap… GAS. So keeping a 17 year old hybrid on the road is actually kinda cost effective.

I have some good spots to purchase reconditioned Toyota batteries and I install for a fraction of what Toyota will and I can still initialize and reset the hybrid battery system.

If you’re in need, get in touch. 1 day turnaround on these, and I’ll do it at your house obviously 💁🏻‍♂️

Actual footage of me looking at this forecast and seeing nearly 100° going into September. I’m over it, you’re over it, I’m busy but still booking. All this to say I’m running AC diagnostics and system charges starting at $65 (price increases as more Freon is used) and that’s to COME TO YOU and do the work. Let’s all survive the end of summer in reasonable fashion.

Most jobs are booking for end of this week to beginning of next week at the moment. I try and keep it in that range and don’t like to book too far out because ~*Life Happens*~

Summertime and the living ain’t easy, it’s hot, it’s expensive and there’s no end in sight.

Couple things I gotta put out there, with it costing $100 or more per week in fuel at the moment. I am gonna be raising my rates for the first time in ages, but I know I’m under what you’re paying at whatever for whatever so still reach out for those quotes and compare. We’re gonna be very tight with appointments only through summer because this is my time to be Dad first and foremost so we will be working 3-4 days densely packed into August so get at me when you can and I’m gonna try and be efficient with replies where I can.

It’s taken some adjustment getting kids outta school for summer, and adapting for weather, on this schedule but we’re tuned in now it seems.

The glow of the dead end is enticing but we ain’t dead yet. Haven’t posted anything in a good while but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy. Just noticing an uptick in the “are you still fixing cars” message and figured I’d show a sign of life. We’re still out here burning up the roads, most APPOINTMENTS (keyword there) are about 5-8 business days out unless you get lucky on timing and location. Booked through most of next week as of right now but still plenty of space to work with.

Reminder that we aren’t just pandering to one area of the greater Bham metro, I do it ALL. From Mercedes in Vance to Buc-ee’s in Leeds, and the Hallmark farm north of Bham to the god awful road work in Calera and all in between.

Thanks for following along and being part of this journey for the better part of a decade now. I know times are hard right now, but we gotta be harder.

Happy holidays to everyone out there! Finally getting through what we’ve had booked in this nonstop run through the fall to Christmas. Starting beginning of 2026 we will be wide open to schedule Monday - Thursday 8:30-4:30 (until time changes then probably slide that back a little) and Friday is gonna book at a half day pace.

Been seeing a bunch of new mobile mechanics pop up here and there but as the only one out here that’s been working for the people for the last 6+ years I think yall know who the real deal is. Let’s get it cracking in 2026 and make it a busy time, got good help, good health, and a work van loaded to handle 95% of what can be thrown at it.

Thanks for the love and support and patience while I’ve undergone so many stops and starts in the last 18 months or so. Having a large family to support and all the things that come with it present a lot of challenges but I’m still here in these streets.
