Gary Wolfe was the project executive on the first big job that GPRS Founder Matt Aston booked. Two days before Christmas in 2001, Matt saw a tower crane off I-75 and took a chance that would change the fate of his brand-new company.

And Gary took a chance on a kid with a machine that could do something he’d never seen before. One meeting on a deserted site led to GPRS becoming a key subcontractor on The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport Hotel.

25 years later, Gary is still blown away by how fortunate he and his team were to cross paths with Matt and GPRS.

This weekend, over 70,000 people will be attending the latest Notre Dame football game at Notre Dame Stadium. Since the stadium is over 90 years old, offseason renovations help make sure the stadium runs at peak efficiency. That is why they called GPRS to scan, document, and map all their underground utilities to have ready every offseason moving forward.

At the time, they didn’t have a utility site plan reflecting the location of underground utilities.
