Modern vehicles are equipped with complex computer systems that monitor various components and systems. When something goes wrong, these systems trigger warning lights on your dashboard. Understanding what these lights mean requires professional expertise and advanced diagnostic equipment. Our technicians have the knowledge and tools to interpret these diagnostic codes accurately. Our diagnostic process begins with a thorough scan of your vehicle’s computer systems to retrieve trouble codes. We then perform a detailed inspection of the related components to identify the root cause of the problem. Once diagnosed, we discuss the findings with you and recommend the best course of action to resolve the issue. This transparent approach ensures you are informed every step of the way and confident in the services we provide. Our team is ready to assist you with all your diagnostic needs, ensuring your vehicle remains in good condition. Call us at 217-235-4546 to schedule an appointment.

Because seasonal changes affect your vehicle in a multitude of ways, it's important to prepare for the transition from Summer to Fall. You'll want to keep up on regular vehicle maintenance, while also paying close attention to season-specific car care tasks. Give us a call at 217-235-4546 to schedule an appointment.

Checking your vehicle's fluids is one of the most critical car care routines. The various fluids lubricate, cool, and perform other vital functions that help keep your car running and driving.

Tires are super important because they affect the braking ability, handling performance, and overall safety of your vehicle. Get your tires inspected to ensure they're in good condition.

Sadly, the long Summer days are coming to an end. Because nighttime comes earlier during the Fall, you're more likely to be driving when it's dark out. Make sure all of your car's lights are working correctly.

Make sure your car's wiper blades are in good condition to deal with rain and possible sleet or snow.

Right now, before the snow starts to fly, is the perfect time to have your car's brakes inspected.

Be sure the heater is working before you need it.

Take care of any outstanding maintenance or known problems with your vehicle. Ignoring issues can leave you stranded on a chilly Fall morning.

We're open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Give us a call today at 217-235-4546. We're ready to serve you with Expert Repairs with Personal Service.

The Illinois State Police is reminding motorists and farmers about traffic safety on Illinois roadways this fall. Agricuture is one of the leading industries in Illinois and farmers across the state will be moving equipment along roadways throughout the upcoming months. As farmers travel between fields, ISP reminds motorists and farmers alike to share the road and help reduce crashes involving tractors and other farm equipment.

A telltale sign of underinflated tires is excessive wear on the outer edges of the tread. Underinflated tires tend to sag in the center, putting all the weight on the outer edges of the tires. And, what happens if you overinflate your tires? An overinflated tire tends to bulge in the center of the tread. This puts most of the car's weight on the center section and causes it to wear out prematurely.

The timing belt is one of the most sensitive and expensive belts in your vehicle. When replacing it, it is best practice to also replace all the timing belt pulleys, tensioners, and the water pump. This helps prevent other problems in the area from damaging the expensive repair you just did.
