Beautiful photo shared by one of our customers!

This stunning 1958 Cheoy Lee wooden sailboat is meticulously maintained here at Triad Boatworks.

This season, she received a complete hull refastening, a fresh hull repaint, beautifully hand-applied gold leaf gilding, along with her annual varnish and routine maintenance. It's always a privilege to help preserve these timeless classics and keep them looking their absolute best.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo with us!

We are receiving many inquiries regarding the Tall Ships transiting the Cape Cod Canal from NYC enroute to Sail Boston 2026 in the coming days.

Here is what we know -

⛵️ There is no scheduled event for the passage of tall ships going through the Cape Cod Canal, so we don’t have any specific times nor do we have any confirmations of which or how many will be transiting the canal. Utilize your favorite ship tracker app to coordinate your viewing times.

⛵️ We do anticipate tall ships that can make the clearance of the bridges will transit the canal starting on July 8th through July 10th with the eastbound canal currents.

⛵️ July 9th will have the best opportunity to view tall ships heading to Boston.

⛵️ We do anticipate higher than normal vessel traffic in the area of Hog Island Channel and Cape Cod Canal during this time. We ask that people do not congest the federal channel or canal and maneuver in ways that impede regular vessel traffic flow.

⛵️ Vessels may anchor outside of the channel for the opportunity to safely view passing tall ships.

⛵️ Last but not least, please monitor VHF 09 and 16 if you are on a boat. Always wear your lifejacket, and be aware of sea conditions!

It has arrived! The Swordfish Weathervane is now on display at its new permanent home - the Mattapoisett Museum. Our summer exhibit: "When Swordfish Fly: The Unlikely History of Mattapoisett's Iconic Weathervane" will officially open on Thursday, July 9 at 5PM with a public opening. In the meantime, come over to see the vane in person! A huge thanks to Billy Field, Bill Wilbur and Triad Boatworks, as well as Museum Board members Lou Martin and Rick Schenker who put in the work to make room for the installation. We are open for the summer Fridays and Saturdays 12-4PM. Stop by and check it out!

177 Days since our backyard went from “oh-so-charming” to “what just happened?!” Each day has been an adventure, and as we reflect, we're just grateful no one was handing out injury cards – let’s be real, it could always be worse! That fateful day when the gustnado paid us a little uninvited visit, our lives turned upside down. But hey, the community support, local businesses rallying like champions, and our crew – talk about a dream team!

So, guess what? We said we’d keep you in the loop, and this video? It's like the cliff note highlight reel of chaos – before, during, and after the great clean-up saga! While we’re still flipping through the crystal ball trying to figure out the next steps, we finally got the thumbs up to tackle the mess left behind. Huge shoutout to Langlois Landscapes LLC for swooping in with lightning speed and professionalism. Seriously, these heroes had our lot looking spiffy in under a week!

We’re all revved up for the next steps, even though we haven’t quite figured them out yet. We promised to keep you posted over the coming months, but for now, we’re all s***k and span, buzzing with that crazy Spring boatyard energy. And our mighty little crew? They're tackling it all with gusto!

There are numerous snow piles around the boatyard, resulting in limited parking. The Triad crew members who can safely commute to the yard will be working today.
Please prioritize your safety and avoid traveling unless necessary, allowing the Town and State sufficient time for ongoing cleanup efforts.
