UPDATE AS OF 2pm: Areas 1, 2, and 4 have been completed. Both trucks in Matawan are completely full and unable to complete area 3 today. Area 3 will be completed tomorrow, Thursday, September 9th. Thank you for your ongoing patience!

Thank you for your patience as we’re working on catching up from historic flooding throughout the state and the Labor Day Holiday.

Areas 2 and 3 on the map below were not collected yesterday and will be recovered today, September 8th.

We hope you had an enjoyable 4th of July! Due to the landfill closing early today, Monday, July 5th, the following streets were not picked up and will be recovered tomorrow morning:

Washington Ave.
Harding Blvd.
Grant St.
Ravine Dr. between Matawan Ave. and Robert St.
Rt. 34 between Edgewater Drive and Fierro Ave.

Please leave your trash at the curb for recovery tomorrow, Tuesday, July 6th. Thank you for your patience!

Trash pickup will proceed as usual in the Borough of Matawan on Monday, July 5, 2021. Pickup will not be affected by the July 4th holiday.

Service Update:

Routes continue to be delayed due to the holiday. Our drivers are working hard and all residents will be recovered through the end of the week. We appreciate your continued patience!

Matawan Residents,

Due to the holiday, our Monday trash route is currently behind and will not be fully completed today. Service will carry over into Wednesday for any households that were not serviced.

We appreciate your understanding and hope you all had a lovely holiday!

Our first pickups are scheduled for Thursday, 2/11 for recycling and Friday, 2/12 for trash. We will resume the normal collection schedule the week of the 15th.

Service Schedule:

All trash - along with a maximum of two bulk items - will be collected weekly on Mondays.

Recycling will be picked up weekly on Thursdays.
