And this is what we are preventing when we fail you for a safety hazard when you have a vehicle inspection done.
It would shock you how many people tell us “I’ll sign a waiver if you let me pass.” (We don’t), but I always ask them “and what about the family who gets killed because of your carelessness?”

NOTE:
NY Vehicle & Traffic Law (Part 79) mandates that every motor vehicle AND trailer registered in the state must be inspected ANNUALLY —before midnight on the last day punched on the inspection certificate, without exception.
**Please note— This law has been in effect since September 2, 1998.

⚠️ What Happens If You Don’t?
•You cannot renew a trailer registration without a valid inspection certificate .
•Law enforcement can stop trailers and request proof of inspection; non-compliance may incur fines or other penalties.
•State facilities such as parks and beaches will not allow access unless a valid inspection is presentable.
