Winter Is Upon Us
Dear Marina Customers,
Winter is right around the corner, and now is the time to start thinking about your boat’s winter storage and winterization.
Last year, we had more boats than ever, and with demand continuing to grow, we strongly encourage you to lock in your winter storage early. We want to make sure we have the space and time to properly take care of every boat.
You will notice that our winter storage and winterization prices have increased slightly this year. Unfortunately, this is due to significant increases in the cost of materials and supplies. We have worked hard to keep the increases as minimal as possible while continuing to provide the level of service you expect from us. While most of you probably wont notice the increase if you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out.
We also want to be upfront about our winterization process. While we strive to be as thorough as possible and never miss a thing, occasionally something can slip through the cracks. To help prevent this, we are instituting a new winterization checklist this year. This will give our team an additional step-by-step process to ensure your boat is properly winterized, shrink-wrapped and that important items are not overlooked.
As part of our winter service, both of our mechanics will also be going through each boat and creating a list of recommended repairs and maintenance items that should be addressed over the winter. We will be offering these repairs at a discounted rate when completed during the winter months, January-March.
Our goal is to help you avoid the frustration of finding a problem in May when you’re ready to launch. Please don’t wait until spring to address repairs that can be taken care of over the winter. Getting these items done now can save you time, money, and the headache of having your boat delayed when everyone is trying to get on the water.
Winter Is Also the Time for Upgrades
We are your authorized dealers for Honda, Mercury, and Yamaha outboards, and this summer alone we completed more than 20 repowers. If you have been considering repowering your boat, winter is an ideal time to get the project planned and completed before spring.
We are also Seakeeper Certified and Garmin Marine Certified, giving you the experience and training to properly install and service these systems. Professional installation is especially important with marine electronics, and having the work completed correctly can help ensure you receive the additional year of manufacturer support and warranty coverage available with qualified installations.
