Hey friends! Don’t forget that you are able to choose your tow company at an accident scene. If you are told the police will call another company for you, you have the right to say “I want Katz Towing!”

Be aware that sometimes after your car is pulled out of the ditch after a blizzard this is the result. Completely frozen engine compartment. Even if the car does start, serious damage can occur as the belts and pulleys will not move and can overheat the engine along with other undesirable results. Please be aware that many times a car can be winched out, but it will need to be towed to a warm place to thaw. Stay safe friends!

12/29 11am Update:
We will only be towing in town today, Monday. The highways are coated with 1.5” of ice and snow pack. We are unable to get traction to winch your car.

I just came from a Sheriff’s call to winch out 4 cars blocking Highway 65. It is down to 1 lane just past the rose bowl, extremely busy with people diverting from the interstate and driving aggressively without regard to their own safety and mine.

On Tuesday if you still need your car towed, call me and I can see if it is doable. I will need the keys to your car do this. Take your valuables and leave the key.

Stay home, please. You are risking your own life and the lives of emergency personnel.
