🐾 MEET OUR DRIVE FOR GOOD BENEFICIARY

For our first Car Hikers DRIVE FOR GOOD, we've chosen to support Monroe County Friends of Animals.

They're a local organization working to make a difference in the lives of animals right here in Monroe County.

Before we ask people to join us or support the cause, we'd like you to get to know the organization we're raising money for.

Take a few minutes to visit their website, learn about what they do, and see why we're happy to have them as our first DRIVE FOR GOOD beneficiary.

Every donation made through our event goes directly to Monroe County Friends of Animals.

🚗 CAR HIKERS PRESENTS: DRIVE FOR GOOD 🐾

The roads give us so much. It's time we give something back.

We've spent a lot of time exploring the roads and communities of East Tennessee, making memories, meeting people, and enjoying everything that comes with being a Car Hiker.

Now we're putting together something a little different.

On Saturday, November 7, we're hosting our first DRIVE FOR GOOD, benefiting Monroe County Friends of Animals.

We're bringing together 12 cars for a full day of car hiking, starting with a special visit to meet the people and animals we're supporting, followed by a day of mountain roads, a group lunch, photo stops, and a lakeside fire to finish the evening.

Every participating car will make a minimum $200 donation directly to Monroe County Friends of Animals. Car Hikers doesn't receive any of the money.

We're calling this first group the Original 12, and with our two organizer cars included, we have 10 spots available for fellow Car Hikers who want to join us.

We hope this is the beginning of something we can continue doing for years to come.

SAVE THE DATE | NOVEMBER 7

We spend a lot of time driving through the small towns and mountain communities of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina.

They give us some of the best roads, scenery and experiences Car Hikers could ask for.

This time, we're going to give something back.

On November 7, we're launching DRIVE FOR GOOD.

We're putting together a full Car Hiking experience while raising money for one of the communities that makes so many of our drives possible.

Great roads, scenic stops, exploring, lunch and a full day spent with good people. Everything we love about Car Hiking, but this time the drive has a bigger purpose.

Participation will be limited to 10 cars, and a donation to the organization we're supporting will be required to secure a spot.

We'll announce who we're driving for, what we're raising money for, the route, the required donation and how to participate very soon.

For now, save the date.

THIS WEEKEND, MAKE A LITTLE ROOM FOR THE MOON.

Knoxville is going to be moving at full speed this weekend. Big crowds, big events, plenty of traffic, and a whole lot of people going in every direction.

Saturday evening, we're doing the opposite.

We're heading to the water, pulling up a chair, and slowing things down for a while.

Join Car Hikers for our Harvest Moon Gathering at Poplar Springs Boat Ramp. Bring a chair, your favorite drink, a snack, and spend an evening with friends as the full moon comes up over the water.

No agenda. No rush. Just a chance to get away from the noise, enjoy the view, and wind down after a busy Saturday.
