While the final bits of the 2012 schedule are still being ironed out, we can confirm that Marysville Raceway Park will host two California Civil War 360 winged sprint car races, a King Of The West 410 winged sprint car race, and for the first time an AMA Flat Track Motorcycle race near the end of the season. Castleberry and Hall Win on Last Corner Passes

Marysville, CA (7/11/266) …Misty Castleberry and Carson Hall take a bow. Both drivers won their main event with a last lap; last turn pass for the win. Talk about a breathtaking way to win. Both should be commended for never giving up on their shot at a win. Over winners included Devin Koranda and Jeff Bentancourt. All four drivers did a fantastic job of representing the good of dirt track racing. The crowd left fully satisfied with a great night of racing.

Jake Haulot was the driver to beat at the start of the winged 360 sprint car main event. Haulot led from the get-go. He soon built up a sizeable lead. The race itself went nonstop. If the race was 24 laps, Haulot would have won. But with five laps to go, something was off with Haulot’s car and he started to slow his pace. This allowed Hall to close from over a straightway behind. On the final lap, Haulot held the lead going into turn three. Yet, his car couldn’t stick the bottom and drifted up out of the groove. He ended up smacking the front grandstand wall but was able to continue. Hall rolled the bottom of turn four to perfection. With the opening at the bottom of the front stretch, he zoomed past Haulot. At the finish line, it was remarkably close. The official difference was 0.065 seconds. Haulot’s car eventually stopped in turn two after the checkered flag. Following the top two were Dryver Dothage, William Fielding, and Koa Crane.

Jennifer Osborne dominated the first eight lap heat race. Haulot won the second heat race. Crane blasted the fast lap in qualifying with a 12.658. A total of 13 cars attended the race.

Scott Kilroy led the first three laps of the Crate Sprint car event. On the fourth circuit, Jason Ballantine took the lead. On the next lap Misty Castleberry moved into second. From here on out, Ballantine led the race and seemed to be on his way to the win. But just like the 360-sprint car feature, it’s not over until the checkered flag is waved. Ballantine and Castleberry rocketed into turn three on the final lap. Both were eager to win. Both were trying their best to beat each other. Coming off turn four Castleberry had the momentum to drive around Ballantine and narrowly cross the finish line first. Her separation at the line was just 0.451 seconds. The thrilling win energized the fans. Third place went to David Derr Jr. Rookie sensation Luke Sprenkel finished fourth. Jacob Johnson rounded out the top five. Sprenkel won the second heat race. Kevin Lovell absolutely dominated to win the first heat race.

Devin Koranda returned to Marysville Raceway and led all 20 laps to secure the win. It was a hard-fought win. He held off Jace Badeker for most of the main event. At times Badeker seemed faster but could not pass Koranda. Ryan Smith had worked his way into third on lap three. On lap 13, Howard Law emerged as a new contender and passed Smith for third place. The top three would finish like this. Koranda held strong and got the win. Badeker was all over him for the lead but just couldn’t get there. Law finished third. Kyle Cheney had an eventful night. Multiple flat tires had him and his crew scrambling to swap out tires. He was able to stay on the lead lap and finish fourth. Smith held on to finish fifth. Both Cheney and Law were winners of the first and second heat race.

Jeff Bentancourt swept the night of racing during the IMCA Sport Mod portion of the show. Bentancourt won the eight-lap heat race. He then backed that up by leading all 20 laps to win the main event. The main event started with just seven cars. Before the first lap was completed both Phil Marino and Jason Clayton Jr. retired to the pit area. Cole Fear was the next causality on lap two. That left four cars to race the final 18 laps. Bentancourt was challenged all race long by Dan Brown Jr. and Mike Merritt. In fact, it was so close that at the checkered flag, both Brown Jr. and Merritt finished less than one-second behind Bentancourt. Shawn Merritt did finish all 20 laps but finished a distant fourth place.

The Return of Auto Racing This Saturday

Marysville, CA (7/8/26) …Welcome back to Marysville Raceway. After a lengthy hiatus, dirt track racing returns this Saturday night, July 11th to the Action Track of the West. All four championship contending divisions are racing this weekend. The winged 360 sprint cars, Hobby Stocks, IMCA Sport Mods, and Crate Sprints are all ready to produce a night of fast cars and family fun. It’s time to come back and enjoy the summertime fun of grass roots dirt track racing.

The Marysville Raceway has long been a staple of local entertainment, offering thrilling races, community events, and an accessible environment for fans of all ages. By maintaining consistent pricing, Marysville Raceway reinforces its role as a welcoming destination for both dedicated motor sports enthusiasts and casual spectators.

Pit gate opens at 3 PM. The front gate opens at 5 PM. Pricing for this Saturday’s show is available at our website www.marysvilleraceway.com. Fans are also able to purchase tickets for upcoming events at the website. Cars are scheduled to hit the track at 6 PM.

General admission pricing (ages 16-62) is $18.00. Juniors (ages 12-15) and Seniors (aged 62+) are just $16.00. Kids (ages 6-11) are $8.00. Children 5 and under are FREE. Also, there is FREE parking for events at the racetrack. Keep in mind there is a small service few added to each ticket purchased online.

Dryver Dothage leads the way in the winged 360 sprint car championship. He holds a 34-point edge over Carson Hall. Denis Scherer sits in the third spot at 49 points back. These three will contest for the overall title with just a few races remaining.

Jacob Johnson holds a slim five-point edge over Misty Castleberry as these two juggernauts wage war for the Crate Sprint title. David Derr Jr. and Mike Ballatine are tied for third and sit 17 points back. Jason Ballatine rounds out the top five.

Mike Merritt, Cole Fears, and Dan Brown Jr. are the three drivers with a shot to take the IMCA Sport Mod championship. Merritt leads Fear by just seven points. Brown Jr. is ten points behind.

Kyle Cheney has created some breathing room over Howard Law in the Hobby Stocks. Cheney is 12-points to the good over Law. Jason Clayton is lurking in the third spot. Toby Merrifield holds down the fourth spot. Ryan Smith rounds out the top five.

Father’s Day Discount This Saturday at Marysville Raceway

Marysville, CA (6/17/26) …Is your dad hard to buy for? Is so, we’ve got you covered. This Saturday night, June 20th, Marysville Raceway is offering a discount for all dads. At the front gate, starting at 5 PM, general admission for dads is just $14. You could take dad to Marysville Raceway and buy him a ticket, maybe get a beer discount during a red flag situation, or enjoy a special and limited Father’s Day Super Supreme Nacho, only available this Saturday night. Nothing like a son or daughter giving dad VIP treatment this Saturday night at Marysville Raceway.

The front gate opens at 5 PM. Pricing for this Saturday’s show is available at our website www.marysvilleraceway.com. Fans are also able to purchase tickets for upcoming events at the website. The pit gate for competitors is set to open at 3 PM. Cars are scheduled to hit the track at 6 PM.

Remember all dads just $14 at the front gate only. General admission pricing for all others (ages 16-62) is $18.00. Juniors (ages 12-15) and Seniors (aged 62+) are just $16.00. The on-track racing will be fast and furious. The winged 360 sprint cars return to attack the action track of the West. Joining them are the Crate Sprints, IMCA Sport Mods, and the popular traveling Dwarf Car series.

On a side note, this Saturday is the last race until July 11th. If you need to get in your dirt track fix, this Saturday will be a must attendance.

Other special details are being planned for dads this Saturday night.

Clayton Jr. Leads all 20 Laps to Win IMCA Sport Mod Main

Marysville, CA (6-13-26) …This past Saturday night, Jason Clayton Jr. led all 20 laps to capture the IMCA Sport Mod main event. Cole Fear put on a fierce challenge in the final few laps but ran out of time. Clayton Jr. should be commended for his impressive performance tonight. Fear charged from deep in field to finish second. Dan Brown Jr. started third but fell to fifth during the opening laps. He regrouped and moved around Thomas Reynolds for third on lap nine. Brown Jr. would end up finishing third. Mike Merritt passed Reynolds to secure a fourth-place finish. Reynolds came home in fifth. Clayton Jr. won the eight-lap lone heat race. It was a sweep for Clayton Jr.

Kyle Cheney started fifth during the 20 lap Hobby Stock main event. Yet, on lap two he was in the second spot. On the third circuit, he was the leader. Cheney would go on to lead the final 17 laps and capture the win. Jace Badeker moved around Zack Lindgren on lap 13 for the second spot. The final three laps saw Lindgren and Howard Law swap the third spot multiple times. On the final lap, Law was able to finish in third place. Badeker closed in on Cheney, but it was too little, too late. While Cheney enjoyed the spoils of victory lane, Badeker did a nice job finishing in second. Lindgren held down the fourth spot while Jason Clayton recovered from an earlier spin to finish in fifth. Cheney won the first heat race and like Clayton Jr., swept the nights racing action. Law dominated the second heat race.

Phil Marino passed Brent Lawrence on lap seven to secure the Pro Stock feature win. Marino extended the lead to over 10 seconds at the finish. Richard Vander Ploeg finished third. Vander Ploeg held off Lawrence to win the lone heat race.

Matt Land was the star of the night. Starting fourth in the main event, Land moved into second place on lap three, six laps later he passed Bradley Schmidt for the lead. Once Land took over the top spot, there was no denying him the win. Greg Dennett moved into the second spot on lap 11. Dennett pressured Land the remaining 8 laps but was never able to get close enough to make a pass. Following winner Land, and Dennett, were Hunter Kinney, Schmidt, and Justin Norton. Jason Schostag won the first heat race. Dennett picked up the win during heat race two. Land turned the fastest lap during qualifying. His fast lap was 14.034.
