Get Ready!
Good mernin and happy Saturday you adorable little pickles 🥒💚
We stay stuck under a mild inversion through the weekend, which means patchy dense fog continues. Heads up if you’re traveling, it’s already caused major issues at the Boise airport with diversions and delays. ✈️🌫️
🌬️ Sunday PM – Monday AM: cold front
I’m still working on the exact timing, but a cold front will sweep in from the northwest Sunday afternoon into Sunday night.
Here’s what that means:
• Enough wind to scour out the inversion
• Increasing clouds
• Rain & snur showers with the frontal passage
Mountains of Oregon & Idaho (above 3,500–4,000 ft):
• Could see appreciable snowfall
Valley floors:
• Likely a mix of rain and snow
• Maybe a light coating on grassy surfaces, I’m not fully sold on this solution yet
The front looks pretty dry, but if that changes, you know I’ll be screaming about it first
🌡️ Temperatures
• Today & Sunday: Mid 40s to near 50 in the valleys
• Monday: Similar, but colder in the mountains with lingering snow showers
• Tuesday: Colder for everyone
• Upper 30s & low 40s in the valleys
• 20s & 30s in the mountains
• Wednesday & Thursday: A degree or two warmer
🌧️ Midweek wildcard
Another storm system may impact the region Wednesday–Thursday, but models aren’t agreeing on timing or impacts. I need a little more time before I can confidently dial that one in.
🧊 Bigger story: possible arctic front late week
Here’s where the GFS and Euro agree:
A strong cold front with Arctic origins looks possible around Friday. Would bring:
✔️ Mountain snow
✔️ Potential for valley rain → snow
✔️ A colder, more active pattern heading into late November & early December
🦃 Thanksgiving travel:
Looks decent at the moment.
BUT… things can still shift, so stay patient with me and keep checking in. I don’t want anyone getting surprise-snow-punched on their way to grandma’s house.
Last week I spotted an albino Dalmatian. Now he looks like a normal one. 🥴😜
Don't delete me k thanks bye.
