I don’t ask for this often, but I wanted to put it out there.

If you’ve had a positive experience with Mac’s Mobile at any point and feel comfortable sharing it, I’d really appreciate a Google review.

I’m the first to admit I’m not perfect. Things don’t always go exactly as planned. But I do everything I can to be transparent, to communicate clearly, and to make things right if an issue comes up along the way. That’s the standard I hold myself to.

Our team consists of one mechanic and one part time office administrator. Over the past few days we’ve received hundreds of requests for service. Our response times have significantly increased but please know we are trying our hardest to keep up. During our typical course of business we book about 3 weeks out. At this point we estimate that we will be booking 6-8 weeks out. We are still happily taking on customers but just want to be transparent about the significant wait. We suggest to start planning for spring and contact us sooner rather than later for lawn equipment service. We appreciate everyone’s support and patience!

As the number of customers and repeat clients has grown, it’s become harder for people to book maintenance well in advance, before problems start.

For that reason, Mac’s Mobile is rolling out a Premium Residential Service Plan designed to make scheduling easier, maintenance predictable, and service more consistent — for both new and existing customers.

Most breakdowns I get called to are not due to premature part failure. They are due to missed routine maintenance and care. Life gets busy, oil changes get skipped, fuel sits too long, and small issues turn into big ones.

This plan focuses on proactive maintenance, proper equipment tracking, and on-site service — not emergency rush jobs or gimmicks. Every machine is logged by make, model, and serial number, maintenance is scheduled ahead of time, and service records are kept so nothing gets missed.

Because my schedule is already in high demand — and because I want to continue providing the same level of service I always have — enrollment is limited to 50 households.

Why is it worth fixing an older machine when you can buy a new one - potentially for less money?

The main reason is planned obsolescence. New machines are simply not built to last. In fact they are built to do the exact opposite. Many of them are unrepairable by design.

While it may seem like a good financial decision in the moment, the likelihood is that you will be replacing the new machine many times over in the time it would have taken for the old machine to become obsolete. Beyond the cost itself, where you spend your money matters. By choosing us to repair an old machine you are supporting your local repairman rather than a large corporation, and helping the environment by reducing waste.
