The 2027 Fantic XE300 had a major engine overhaul for this generation.
Fantic dropped the yearly model-change cycle. Under the Evolution Series approach, the bike only changes when the change is worth making, and the direction comes straight out of their factory enduro racing program. The 2027 XE300 is what that produced: a round of engine work aimed at the part of the powerband enduro riders actually live in.
On the trail it shows up as stronger low-to-mid torque, a smoother hit off the bottom, and more predictable delivery when you are picking through rocks or holding a gear longer than you meant to. Less snap to manage, more drive you can lean on.
What changed inside the 300cc Minarelli:
• Dual-injector indirect fuel injection, carried over and retuned around the new head and port work
• New cylinder head geometry with revised compression ratio and squish
• Updated cylinder: revised height, reworked transfer and exhaust ports, increased reed block distance
• Revised engine timing for low-to-mid response
• Redesigned expansion chamber
• Fully revised exhaust valve system with a forged steel guillotine valve, lightened cylinders, and a new control shaft
• New crankshaft materials built for racing abuse
• New ignition, three-phase generator, and voltage regulator
• Waterproofed ECU and wiring harness
• New Stopper/Backlash System (SBS) to cut internal play
• New spark plug spec
