NSRA® Event Director Mike Adams has just released two major announcements for the 43rd NSRA® Mid-America Street Rod Nationals, taking place May 22–24, 2026, at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri.

First, NSRA® Autocross is making a strong return in 2026, backed by an all-new lineup of sponsors. While not all partners have been finalized, additional details will be announced soon—so stay tuned.

Second, Mike revealed that the Mid-America Street Rod Nationals Spotlight Builder will be Samson Design of Marshall, Missouri. They’re bringing something truly special: Danny Asher’s stunning 1949 Pontiac Chieftain, known as “Nightmare,” which was featured in the Meguiar’s booth at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

This is one vehicle you won’t want to miss.

What an incredible weekend we had at the Kansas City World of Wheels! I can't thank Danny and Tom enough for letting me help make their dream cars come true!!
NIGHTMARE won the GOLD CUP RODTIQUES AWARD OF EXCELLENCE!!!! It also won 1st Place, Outstanding Hand-built Radical Custom, and Outstanding Display!
Tom's 56 Chevy won 1st Place, TOP 5 FINALIST FOR THE AWARD OF EXCELLENCE, Outstanding Paint, and Outstanding Interior!!
I couldn't be more thankful for my great customers and wonderful family! And Pastor Jeff Brandt for all his help setting up!!
