WOW! What an incredible 10 days we just experienced.
We just wrapped up an intense, high-mileage testing tour across the US, and we are thrilled to report that it ended with smiles everywhere and major breakthroughs for the Rieju brand.
As you know, the completely new MR300i Fuel Injected engine represents a massive leap forward. However, with any cutting-edge platform comes trials and tribulations. It became clear to us early on that while this platform has the potential to be one of the best 2-stroke enduro bikes on the market, our US fuels, extreme elevations, and other various elements required finer tuning than what the stock Euro mapping provided.
Because Rieju Motocicletas España recognizes that the US market is a major key to their global sales, they took action and set a plan in motion.
David Martinez (International Export Manager) flew over to the US alongside the two lead project engineers, Enric Albo & David Sagrera, so we could put our boots on the ground and work together for the future of the brand.
Highlights from the 10-Day Tech & Testing Tour:
Las Vegas: The journey kicked off supporting Rachel Gutish at the first round of the Endurocross series, followed by a quick day of tourism before the team officially went to work.
St. George, Utah: We spent Monday and Tuesday testing in intense heat and deep sand with non-biased test riders, Cole Clarkson and Trent Sandoval. By Tuesday afternoon, our team had the new mapping recipe dialed in to 85%.
Heber City, Utah: We drove north to meet with Colin Hicks at Powerchicken to test the new mapping parameters at higher elevations ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 feet. After a few minor air-pressure adjustments, it was nothing but smiles.
Aspen, Colorado: We pushed the limits even further, heading up to 11,500 feet with Alex of Aspen Motoworx. The bikes performed beautifully, leaving Alex screaming with joy on the new mapping. (We even treated our Spanish guests to a little gun shooting in between testing).
Denver, Colorado: We wrapped up the trip by stopping at Motorsport Masters to drop off a prototype Hard Enduro model with Mike Noone, who tested it quickly in the parking lot late at night with fantastic feedback.

This cross-country collaboration was a MAJOR SUCCESS.
We are fully committed to ensuring your customers have the best possible ownership experience. To deliver on that promise, we will be sending our dealers a new USA base map within the next 10 days for all the customers bikes and future units as well.
We will follow up shortly with technical bulletins detailing how to access the new maps and order the upgrade kits for your current inventory and customer bikes.
