Arkansas Late-Summer Recipe

Ingredients:

- ½ Arkansas watermelon
- 2 hours of Buffalo River swim time
- 1 mild sunburn
- 1 old swing
- 1 slow Ozark sunset
- A generous helping of frogs & crickets singing
- As many kids as you like

Directions:

Mix everything together very slowly over 48 hours.

Do not rush.

Allow plenty of time for bare feet, wet swimsuits, dirty kids, rocking chairs, fireflies, and absolutely nowhere you need to be.

Let rest overnight in your choice of an RV, tent, tiny home, or cabin.

For extra flavor, add another day.

Best served outside.

There's like 0 chance that Bluey was actually meant for kids. Every 3rd episode is a tear jerker.

With that being said, the camping episode where Bluey makes a friend that doesn't even Australian (those people do not speak English), and then wakes up one morning to find out Jean Luc and his family have left...

That's a good one.

Camping trips can be like that. Small microcosms of life. People coming for a short time and going. It's great and it stinks. But it's worth it every time because-people.

We said "So long!" To a few of our longer-term guests, and it'll be sad to see those spots empty.

We'll miss you guys and that beautiful pup of yours! Happy trails! Hope to see you again!
