Its not everyday that you run into this many angels, and I am so lucky to have met these people and know a few of them for quite some time now. As I sit here and reflect on this past weekends benefit truck pull, my heart is heavy and my eyes a little teary, why do these things happen, and why do they happen to some of the most innocent? I know we shouldn't be searching for a meaning or a why, its all part of the plan. Now, thats a hard pill to swallow. We are so grateful for all of the time, effort and energy that each and every person has put into helping Whitley and our family. I struggle daily, seeing this resilient little girl who was once independent and VERY mobile. Nonetheless, she still smiles, and never complains, still the selfless little soul shes always been. Keeping that in mind, its a reminder that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. This is a group of the toughest angels, and I strive to be as great as every one of them. In a world full of chaos and uncertainty, I know one thing for sure, I am not alone. I know that the struggle is merely over, but when things start dragging me down, I look at these photos and for those moments, everything is good, for I know that despite all the evil in the world, there are angels out there fighting for us. I am truly blessed and humbled to have met these people. Thank you all so much for taking it upon yourselves to make sure that my little angel is taken care of. So, back to that statement, everything happens for a reason. Don't go looking for any answers or ask why, just embrace the storm, for you are not alone. Just open your eyes, and look around. I bet if you look real hard, you will notice that there are angels among us. Gretchen Noel Morris
… Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give
To guide us with the light of love
