Please say a prayer for our Parts Manager, Paul Burgess and his entire family. Today they lay his brother to rest. Ernie may not have been employed with us at the time of his passing, but he was a big part of Vernell's Interstate Service. He was a good hearted man and amazing automotive mechanic. We were thankful to have spent several years working side by side with him. Sending our prayers to all who knew and loved him.

☔️WET WEEK AHEAD: A front will wobble back and forth across Southern Illinois this weekend leading to multiple chances for RAIN and big temperatures swings.

🌧️Rain is likely early Monday morning, but it moves out fairly quick, so the day won’t be a complete washout. Tuesday morning brings another chance for wet weather as a warm front lifts northward. As the front stalls out, on Wednesday, showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible the remainder of the week and into the first half of the weekend.

⚡️As temperatures soar into lower 70s, thunderstorms will also become possible. There’s no clear signal for severe weather this week, but I can’t entirely rule out a few stronger storms later in the week and into Saturday. We’ll have to keep an eye on that time frame throughout the week.

💦RAIN! Generally 2-4” of rainfall is expected across much of Southern Illinois this week. Given how dry we are and that rain is spread out, I think flooding will likely be minimal.
