We took a short pig trip to the SSS, Southern Swine Soirée. Another great group of folks and beautiful land to explore. It was great to see old friends and make new ones.

Another pig road and off road trip... (the same crew as last year but even grandma flew out with the girls for the adventure) this time we went to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Truly spectacular! We were super fortunate to have other Land Cruiser folks there that knew remote trails and areas to view the canyon lands in ways that most people never get to see. We drove over 120 miles off road in one day. The views were sooooo worth it! We rested in Sedona for a few days before heading home.

Here are some highlights of our 2017 pig party (for those of you who don’t know, FJ 55’s are called Iron Pigs). We drove to Rico Colorado and had a blast exploring that area, and then on to Moab UT. It was truly an amazing experience to old school road trip across the country with my son, father, and father in law. The girls flew out to Colorado, we picked them up and camped and wheeled with a great group of folks. So much fun!

This is another 74 in the classic dune beige color. This one is going to long time friends and we made it top notch for him and his wife. The build included electric power steering, a rocking sound system, LED lighting, custom air filter, 4 wheel disc brakes, air locker, and just about every product that 4 plus product makes for an FJ40. This was a very special project. Original sky blue ‘74 that we went all in for. Full frame off restoration including powder coated frame and lots of other parts. Fully color matched liner inside and underneath the rig. We fitted a newer style top including ambulance doors on the rear. We also added very useful LED lights under the hood, interior and rock lights under it.

This is Shooter, she was bought locally and was my daily driver for a while. We custom built it for a friend in Colorado to be his daily driver. We used 3:73 gears, power steering, 31” tires, 4 wheel disc brakes, our best seats, and a well built 2f with all of the extras. The result is a very drivable and capable rig! The new owner and his son flew here and drove it back to Colorado. They took the long way home and took lots of cool pics along the way. He was kind enough to let me share a few. We also met up in Moab Utah last summer and had a blast... More on that later 😎
