One of the original partners of the business was called home this past week. A true cornerstone to a family business.

Evan Butch Stuhr, age 79 of Tigerton passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at ThedaCare Medical Center, Shawano. Evan Elmer Stuhr was born on November 23, 1942, on the family farm in the Town of Grant, Shawano County, to Elmer and Helen Schmidt Stuhr. He grew up in the Town

RECENT DELIVERY ALERT:
Coudersport, PA Pumper-Tanker Refurb
This pumper/tanker refurb and remount begins with the customer supplied body and tank being removed from the existing chassis and being fitted onto a Spartan Gladiator Demo chassis. The chassis is powered by a Cummins X15 600HP diesel engine and Allison 4000EVS transmission. The chassis was originally designed for an aerial application so it had a center roof notch. A Will-Burt Night Scan light tower was mounted at this center location to occupy this open area. A customer supplied used pump module was acquired with a Hale Qmax 1500GPM pump and was fitted and mounted onto the chassis. The pump was inspected and all the valves were rebuilt along with new flexible plumbing and drain lines replaced as needed. The pump panels were removed, cleaned and coated with Black Line-X for a fresh new look. The customer supplied water tank was inspected, modified and repaired as needed to fit the new apparatus layout. New Newton 10” dump valves were installed and the two (2) 2 ½” direct tank fills were replumbed to a new location at the lower right rear of the rear body panel for ease in hose connections. The customer supplied apparatus body was completely stripped down and repaired as needed then repainted changing the color to Black over Red from the original Lime Green color. The warning and scene lighting was upgraded to a combination of Whelen and TecNiq LED lighting and a customer supplied Federal “Q” siren mounted on the front bumper extension.

RECENT DELIVERY ALERT:
City of Peshtigo, WI Pumper
This pumper is built on a Freightliner M2-106 crew cab powered by a Cummins L9 350HP diesel engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. The pump is a Waterous CSU 1500GPM pump equipped with a Waterous AQUIS 6 foam injection system all controlled at the top control pump panel/module. The pump supplies two (2) 1 ¾” crosslays, one (1) 2 ½” crosslay, multiple 2 ½” discharges, an LDH discharge and a deck gun discharge. The water tank is a United Plastics Fabricating Poly Tank with a 750-gallon water tank capacity and 20-gallon foam capacity. The apparatus body is an all-extruded aluminum structure with high-side compartments at each side equipped with Gortite aluminum rollup doors. The compartments are equipped with multiple adjustable shelves, slide out trays, tool boards and pegboards. The passenger side front compartment is equipped with slide out tool boards with SCBA brackets to store the SCBA’s in this compartment and not in the cab. This compartment also is supplied with turnout gear cubbies for storage of contaminated turnout gear to allow the cab to be a “clean” cab. The apparatus body also has the following features; Ziamatic overhead ladder rack at the passenger side, wheel well storage compartment at the driver’s side for six (6) air bottles, slide out oil dry hopper at the passenger side wheel well and a refrigerator. There is a Cummins/Onan 10kw hydraulic driven generator that powers two (2) Hannay cable reels and electrical outlets. The apparatus is supplied with Whelen LED warning lights and body LED scene lights. There are also Fire Research Spectra 12-volt LED scene lights at the back of the cab. The completed apparatus is supplied with a Fire Research In-View 360 camera system for added apparatus protection.
