Do I listen to Kenny Loggins more than a person should? Yes.
Do I watch Top Gun (1 or 2) and Iron Eagle EVERY time I catch them on TV? Yes.
Do I feel like a child each time I hear the Top Gun theme or Queen's "One Vision"? Yes.
Am I a lunatic for spending 60+ hours wrapping my own vehicle during my "time off"? Probably.
Am I a U.S. Navy Blue Angels fanatic combined with being a huge patriot of our armed forces? DEFINITELY yes!
For at least one year I have been creating this wrap in my head. I have spent hours gathering photos and designing the graphics to mimic an actual Blue Angels F18 jet. From replicating the fonts, to laying out the striping, this has been an extremely daunting wrap. So much of the C8 Corvette design makes you feel like you're in a fighter jet, so this was the perfect platform.
From the dual striping on the hood designed to mimic the pilot's uniform, down to the "Danger Jet Intake" and "Caution Jet Blast" decals, there is a lot to see.
If you're heading to the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show in June, be on the look out. I have been trying to coordinate a photo opp with an actual Blue Angel's jet at the air show, so fingers crossed for making that happen.
