Well simply to say my exhaust manifold cracked a few months back. We ordered the parts for the job but Bo said he wanted to hold off till the weather was warmer seeing as the garage gets decently cold. With the weather being in the 50’s this weekend he decided now was the time.

Clearly he has really gotten into this job based on the amount of dirt he has on his hahaha. Sorry that you have been crawling around on the floor but I can’t wait for my car to not sound annoyingly loud!!!

Brake job on this bitter cold Saturday. Thankfully the mechanic (Bo) has and awesome girlfriend (myself) and she bought him the heater he has been wanting to help heat up the garage while he works!!!

I am only tooting my own horn a little because the stores have been cleared out of this heater the past few weeks. I got lucky on my lunch break when I called and asked when they would have some more in stock. The guy told me “we just got some in they are in the back right now.” I told him I would be right there. I ran to tractor supply on my lunch and scored the heater!!!!

Now Bo is nice and cozy in the garage as he fixes my brakes. He said it’s warm enough in the garage that he could roll up his sleeves hahaha.

We have another big job lined up next weekend so be on the look out for that!!! Let us know if you need any car repairs we would love to help you get your car fixed up for a super reasonable price!!!

When you get a bigger hitch for Christmas aka one that could pull a camper instead of your bicycles you clearly want it changed out!!!

I would like to say this one went out with out a hitch ( hahaha see what I did there?) but it didn’t the old hitch had its bolts in a very tricky spot to get to without lowering the spare tire. Which come to find up was seized and the spare wouldn’t even come down.

Our thought was pure disappointment because our customers literally just bought this vehicle a few weeks prior and thinking about what our customer would have to do if she ever got a flat and needed her spare she would of never been able to get it down. After talking to our customer they said to cut it down so we took the spare off so she could use it easier and actually use it if needed which opened up the area we needed to get the old hitch off and the new hitch on so much easier.

We also noticed that the spare was just a donut and looked pretty iffy and flat.

Now our customers are ready to go camping this summer!!! Also a follow up to the above this customer ended up getting a flat tire a few weeks later on the thruway and thankfully her spare was easier for her to access. Also thankfully it was the weekend so he husband could come with a better more trustworthy spare to limp her car to a tire store to get two new tires and now she can have a full-size proper spare just incase.

A little sway link repair today!!! Sorry guys I have been slacking on posting our repairs so here is this one and I will post one more that we have done recently in a few minutes!!!

This Kia came in with a weird clunk in the front end that has been progressively getting louder. After a test drive to hear the noise and a little car shaking which might of consisted of me sitting in the front passenger seat and shaking from left to right we were able to determine it was sway links. So off to the part store we went to grab the parts to get our customer back on the road!!!

As always we did a through look over and topped off a few fluids that were low.

Swan auto has a line today... sadly two of the cars in line are our cars 🤦🏼‍♀️ Friday the 13th smacked us across the fast yesterday.... my focus didn’t want to stay running yesterday morning so Bo took the truck to work only to barely make it to work.... he limped his truck home last night....

But we also have a customer car in the garage today for an issue with her remote start. Bo is out looking at it now to figure out if it’s a wiring issue or a problem with the actual after market unit itself.

Then it’s back to my focus to figure out what’s going on with her. Then it’s time for a swap and the truck will come in. Thank god we have two extra cars hahaha worst case I will be bombing to work in the good ole B2!!!

And we are at it again this weekend!!!! Well apparently I didn’t understand fully what they were doing all with the truck this weekend. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hahahha I am still learning here guys lol. But yesterday Bo and I got the U-Joints all assembled and the rear differential drained. Tonight Bo and Alex are getting the front of the truck all reassembled and the front differential drained. We are still waiting on the axel shafts that are getting specialty made to be finished up so we can get that in and finally get this truck on the road!!!

Day two of the transmission swap is in full swing even Roanin is out in the garage helping. We got the transmission in earlier today and they are working on getting the exhaust pipe back in place now. Then a few more things and we will have yet another happy customer on the road again and for this customer off the road as well!!!!

Well that is once the shaft comes in and we are able to get that installed for him.

If your guess was a transmission swap then you were right!!! We got the original transmission out about an hour an a half ago. We just had dinner and now it’s back to work!!!

A few months back Alex approached us about helping swap out his transmission so his truck could be 4-wheel drive. Of course we said yes. So after Bo looked over the truck and let him know what parts would be needed and Alex collected all of the parts today is the big day!!!

Any guesses on what we have going on this weekend at Swan Auto?!!! More details to come.
