What is it Wednesday?!?!
This week we are going to explain what we mean when we say that we have to shut down for our “pits to be pumped”! This part is at the end of our tunnel and we have a trench that starts at the beginning of the track and flows all the way down to this part.
All the mud that we spray out from fender wells, all the dirt that comes off the vehicles, and just everything you can imagine goes down into what we call our pits.
This is a 6ft hole basically that all the excess water and dirt/mud goes into. The 2 big pipes that you see in the pictures sucks up this water and goes through a very extensive recycling system that cleans and purifies the water.
We do recycle 40-60% of our water and that will be explained next Wednesday!
But depending on how full it gets and how quickly is how often they have to come and pump these out. More rain equals more mud on vehicles which then means more dirt and mud into our pit!
We hope this has helped for you to understand what we mean by this when we post it and now you can understand and see why it takes them 2-3 hours to get it done. It’s almost like a septic tank!
