A small but important part of the puzzle, lots of layers and small spaces in there to trap salt, so getting some prp clear in there will help tremendously.

The VW Atlas has been bagged, and prepped for some prp hard wax.
Interesting thing about VWs, they have a 7 year corrosion warranty, and the body cavities are all flooded at the factory with a cavity wax. And after inspection, I can attest they have been well coated internally.
We are going to finish out where the factory left off, and take care of all the places that are not waxed. Normally we would fog out all the body cavities with clear oil, but in this case we will not, being new, we don’t want the oil to soften any wax already in place, which could cause problems.

Spring and summer are the best times for getting your ride protected, don’t wait till the last minute, warm weather is much more beneficial. And when it’s warm, we are able to give it a Brine Buster wash before hand.
Kill the salt brine, and get it protected with Platinum Rust Protection.

Putting the ol boss plow away, but first thing first, a good wash with some Brine Buster
Then after it’s greased it gets a light coat of Platinum Rust Protection clear oil to make sure no rust will form over summer
Maintenance is essential if you want things to last.

Did you know spring and summer are actually better times of the year to get your ride undercoated? It’s true!
Because the weather is warmer it enables the oils to migrate further into the tiny places salt like to stay, so by the time winter hits, your ride is better protected than doing it right when it gets cold out.
Know what that means? It’s time to schedule!

Did some post winter cleanup on the beloved f-bom* today. Used Brine Buster to eliminate any salt & brine on the truck, and you know what? That stuff works extremely well, ran it through the foam cannon and it puts up some nice foaming action, let it sit for a few minutes and rinsed with the pressure washer. No sticky residue left, just clean. Did it twice, foam on, rinse off, nice and easy.
I know, a before pic would have been a great idea, I was busy and I forgot, it happens, but the black truck was a white crusty haze before I started.
