The driverβs education program is required for anyone under 21 years old and anyone who holds a learners permit that is non-transferable/non-renewable.
For the classroom part of drivers education:
https://apps.dps.ohio.gov/DETS/public/schools
β’Click on the DPS link
β’Click on school type and go down to CLASS D ONLINE COURSES and then click on search.
β’You will get a list of approved providers along with their phone number and website. (If you go with an online school that is not on this list, you will not get the official drivers education certificate.) You should be able to get the class for right around $50-150.
β’If you/your teen is extremely busy, I recommend getting this part ASAP.
β’Remember that anyone under 21 years old is required to complete 50 hours of drive time. Also adults with a non transferable permit are required to complete 50 hours of drive time with a licensed driver. Make sure you are documenting those hours!
β’Once you have the completion certificate for the online class, get in touch to get put on the list for the driving.
β’Pick up and drop off locations are at our driving school:
101 Seneca Drive
Marietta (Devola)
Send the completion certificate to 740-374-2232.
