We are seeking a skilled and experienced Intermediate to Advanced Automotive Technician to join our reputable automotive repair shop. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles,
coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers'
vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks on a variety of vehicles, including
but not limited to cars, trucks, SUVs, (diesel and hybrids desired but not required).
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using cutting-edge diagnostic equipment
and software.
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and provide accurate
repair recommendations to customers.
Execute repairs and replacements of components such as engines, transmissions, brakes,
suspension systems, steering systems, and electrical systems.
Ensure all work performed meets industry standards and follows manufacturer guidelines.
Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, tools, and techniques through continuous
learning and training.
Collaborate with team members to efficiently handle high-volume workloads and ensure timely
completion of repairs.
Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating repair processes, estimates,
and timeframes to clients.
Document all recommendations including parts used, labor hours, and detailed descriptions of
repairs.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines at all
times.
Assist in mentoring and guiding junior technicians, sharing your expertise and knowledge to
foster their growth.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive training program
preferred.
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Engine Repair,
Brakes, Electrical Systems) strongly desired, but not required.
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as an Intermediate to Advanced Automotive Technician.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex issues accurately.
Solid understanding of automotive systems, components, and their interactions.
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and explain technical information
clearly.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Valid driver& #39;s license with a clean driving record.
