We have a location at the Dare County Regional Airport for air travelers and inside RD Sawyer Ford for the general public. In 1967, RD and Byron Sawyer saw a need on the Outer Banks that was not being met: There was no where to rent a car if your was broken down or out of service due to an accident. And visitors flying into the Dare County Regional Airport needed ground transportation to travel ar

ound the beautiful Outer Banks area. Since these brothers were already in the car business as owners of RD Sawyer Ford, they knew where to find good vehicles to rent. And that's when B&R Rent A Car was born. Almost 50 years later, Byron and RD's son, Dock, continue to operate the rental agency offering an affordable option for those in need of temporary transportation.
