Nothing but the truth, but good for customers help with understanding a good read for people doing custom work and hot rod shops!

40hrs at $75hr $ 3000 that left in 2008
40hrs at $90hr $3600 that rate left in 2014
40hrs at $100hr $4000 this rate started 2017
40hrs at $125hr $5000 this is now witch needs to be more
☆ If you're build budget is $15,000 ( this really happened)

*At $125.00 hr. (1 man) that gives you 12weeks of shop time before Parts/Material
*If you're parts/ materials are $4500
That gives you 3.5 weeks of shop time ...

How far can you take a build in 3.5 weeks?

His Expectations for the build:
* build chassis
* ladder bar / 4 link
* build/ shorten rear end
* exhaust
* frame rails
*Trunk Floor/ shell floor Sheet Metal
*wheel tubs
* Chop floor
*Bodywork
*paint frame

Part of being a builder is to educate a potential client on the costs of all this work... it's ALOT of work! And when a builder says he will give you a deal but it may take longer, respect that he is helping you build your dream

But to get bent at me because you can't afford to build yourself a toy is well, kinda funny... shops charge money to stay in business to give you a place to make your dreams come true!

You it's true what the saying is Good work ain't cheap, cheap work ain't good work. Now the customer wasn't happy from where this truck came from. How do I get stuck with these JOBS!!.. But ooh well we shall fix all these & in the body not saying any names that's not how I . But the know who they are when they see it 👀🤣
