Just a quick shout out to all my loyal customers, had to take some personal time to grieve the loss of my father 1/15/2017 RIP DAD. He was more than a father, he was my best friend and co-worker and mentor for 30years while I worked side by side with him helping to build his dream of owning a business. So after 3 decades of washing the cars of family's across Manitowoc County. We then sold the business to Bank First National so that they may expand their business, by utilizing the space we occupied for much needed parking for their clients. Indeed it is a sore spot to watch what you built being tore down. But my Dad needed to retire and I needed to continue on with my own business Novy's Detail Shop and Auto Sales, LLC est 2012
I actually started detailing cars at the car wash to pass the time during slow car washing periods. When I started I had a Waxcoa Buffer with the Simoniz Wax and Glaze, for $20. That's right twenty bucks. LOL It takes time to get a beautiful finish on a fine auto, interior work required even more time, lots to pay attention to in the interior. It built up to complete details, washing, rim cleaning, steam cleaning engine compartment then pressure air dry,then apply a dressing that dries so new dust and dirt don't collect, also to protect all hoses from cracking, a clean motor runs better, a dirty motor is comparable to draping a blanket on your motor causing excessive heat build up that thins your oils in the motor and transmission this damaging your beautiful fine auto that your take pride in owning, also brake dust removal using a clay bar, high speed buffing of the paint if it was required, orbital buffing in the wax, sealant or glaze, then hand applied exterior protection on all exterior rubber, plastic trim, also hand cleaning waxing and apply rubber protection to all door jambs hood and trunk edges, van sliding doors, then we're on to the interior hand scrub then immediate extraction of the cleaning solution, also same process on cloth upholstery, or hand cleaning of your leather seats with ape i am leather cleaners so to eliminate the possibility of removing the dye the factory used in coloring the leather, then hand apply a leather conditioner, not a slippery dressing, the conditioner works to protect and maintain a soft supple leather seat, then we begin hand applied cleaner, soft brushing to clean all interior components compromising of the dash,console, all the doors around the door openings also same thing applies to all compartments inside the console, glove compartment,door compartments, cup holders, throughout the vehicle, after cleaning, scrubbing and wiping up a lot of area, I then pressure blast air along all edging, air vent, under the seats to get out all those missing French fries and loose change,lol to further clean up the entire interior, after that we go back over all that we cleaned, by hand applying proper vinyl, plastic and rubber protectants that also dries to the touch, remembering to never dress a steering wheel or foot pedals is key.
Now after probably 8 hours or a lot more depending upon the vehicle size and the amount of restoration the paint requires as well as how dirty the interior may be, because one pass over sometime ain't enough, it may require ten passes to get a good clean carpet or seat. Buffing the wax or sealant off the paint then hand detailing the vehicle to a perfect finish. Lets not forget that last pass through the interior to triple up your efforts to make sure that you didn't miss a spot as the old saying goes, LOL now thee last vacuum install the clean mats , clean all the Windows inside and out, detail the door jambs and your vehicle has just been restored and detailed too perfection. Finer than the day it left the dealer showroom floor.
