WHY DO BRAKES SQUEAK?

Brake squeaking is very common and not always a fault. It mainly happens because of vibration between the brake pad and the disc (rotor).

✅ NORMAL BRAKE SQUEAK (NO WORRIES)

These situations are usually safe 👇

❄️ Cold / Morning Brakes

Moisture forms on the disc overnight

Pads squeak until brakes warm up

Noise disappears after few minutes of driving

🚗 Light Braking at Low Speed

Very light pressure causes pad vibration

Common in traffic or parking situations

🧱 Hard or Performance Brake Pads

Sport / hard pads make more noise

Normal trade-off for better braking power

⚠️ WHEN TO WORRY (INSPECTION NEEDED)

Check your brakes immediately if you notice 👇

🔁 Constant Noise

Squeak does NOT go away after driving

Indicates worn pads or poor installation

🔩 Grinding Sound

Metal-to-metal contact

Brake pads fully worn → disc damage possible

🦶 Brake Pedal Feel Changes

Pedal feels soft, hard, or vibrating

Can indicate uneven wear or disc problems

📌COMMON CAUSES OF PROBLEM SQUEAKING

Worn-out brake pads

Dust or debris between pad & rotor

Lack of anti-squeal shims or grease

Warped or damaged brake discs

Never ignore grinding or constant noise
➡️ Early inspection saves discs, money & safety.

If you are noticing your brakes squeaking and aren’t sure if you have an issue or not, call us today. You’ll get an honest opinion if you need to get it in for an inspection.
