A new customer pulled into our parking lot for a noise that had gotten progressively worse over the course of a couple weeks. Our mechanic walked by and asked them to immediately turn the car off. Bob & Sons Automotive discovered that two out of three bolts were missing from the water pump pulley causing it to rattle around like crazy. Thankfully, we were able to secure it before it became catastrophic.

The start to shorter days had us prepping for the upcoming seasons. This vine has decided to take over the snowplow so that means we can't get snow, right!?

The timing belt of a vehicle is a reinforced rubber belt that keeps the crankshaft and camshaft(s) synchronized. It makes sure pistons in the engine move up and down at the same time, ensures the engine runs smoothly without internal parts colliding and makes sure intake and exhaust valves open and close at the correct time.

A timing belt should have proper tension at all times, otherwise it can lead to engine failure. If a timing belt breaks, or jumps teeth - the engine timing becomes incorrect causing expensive damage.
