This step deck got some serious attention in our shop.

Our team custom-built a complete dovetail from the ground up — measuring, cutting, fitting, welding, reinforcing, and finishing everything in-house.

And while we had it in the shop, we didn’t stop there. We also:

🔧 Replaced all axle arms
💨 Replaced all airbags
🛑 Replaced all brake chambers
🔥 Fabricated & welded the custom dovetail
💡 Installed and finished the rear lighting
🎨 Finished it off with a clean coat of paint

From raw steel and fabrication to suspension and brake work, this step deck left the shop with a completely transformed rear end and some major upgrades underneath.

Custom fabrication. Heavy-duty repair. One shop.

📞 Tonka Services — if you can’t buy it, we’ll build it.

Installed a new shelf on the fire engine.

Removed both existing steps to gain access to the damaged/worn support structure. Removed and replaced the uprights supporting the step assemblies, then reinstalled and secured both steps.

Inspected the completed repairs and verified all components were properly mounted and secure.

Repairs were completed to keep the local fire engine in service and ensure safe operation.
