Racing in BAJA sometimes has little to do with battling your competition and more about battling the elements of BAJA.
More importantly, itβs about the family that is the OffRoad community & fans that support strangers in need of a push, a tow, and random fellow racers in the night that stop their race to lend a Starlink signal to call for help so we can all take a 1000 chances in 24hrs and full race speed and test our luck again the BAJA elements.
Well, BAJA definitely won this round that is the 2026 Baja 400 program of Erik Davis / Mike Belitz / Robert Faulkner.
The most important part about our BAJA experience this year is everyone on our team is home safe, a little banged up - but will be back to battle BAJA again soon.
The biggest reason our drivers came home safely last night was due to the construction & safety equipment built into the Brenthel Industries 6100 truck we had last night. We want to thank Brenthel industries for providing an extremely well-built machine that kept our drivers safe despite our multiple high speed anti-gravity testing efforts last night.
As for our Race itself, we rolled early with Mike Belitz driving & Robert Faulkner Navigating. We damaged some cosmetic and crucial mechanical parts & some ego but fans flipped us back and we continued the fight. Erik Davis jumped in at RM180 with no lightbars on the roof and some radio & throttle issues. Erik battled his way into the night to RM295 where he got into crossing deep ruts to an off angle ditch at full speed and Erik and Robert (again) ALSO rolled the truck that ended our race in the dark. The Brenthel chase squad got to them quickly and we loaded everyone up and went home safe but banged up with a few ribs and lots of bruises but thankfully nothing worse.
Shout out to all the Support crew that makes up the Brenthel Chase team and logistic support. Without those guys it would have definitely been a much longer night and harder recovery.
We will be back to battle BAJA again soon. π΅π
