If you’re within 5 miles of Gearhead Autoworks, we can offer pickup and delivery service for your vehicle.

Outside of that area? We can help arrange an Uber to get you back home or to work so you don’t have to sit around the shop waiting on your vehicle.

Drop it off, get where you need to go, and let us handle the rest.

We know being without your vehicle can be a pain. This is just one more way we’re trying to make taking care of it a little easier.

This dinosaur pulled a whopping 0.25 lbs of refrigerant out of a system that holds 2.4 lbs. I think we found part of the problem, now it’s time to find the cause. 🥵

Old-school R-134a or the newer R-1234yf, Gearhead Autoworks has the equipment to properly diagnose and service your vehicle’s A/C system.

We say we work on everything, and we really mean it. 😂

Just a few of the fun ones that have made it in front of the camera here…

McLaren 650S Spider, Aston Martin Vantage, Pontiac G8 GXP, R35 GT-R, Bronco Raptor, Porsche Macan, Mercedes, a classic Thunderbird, Nova, El Camino… and plenty more that never got their picture taken.

But don’t let the cool stuff fool you — you absolutely do not need something exotic, fast, or classic to bring it to Gearhead.

Daily drivers, work trucks, soccer mom whips, the kid’s first car, weekend toys, classics, performance cars, European, domestic, Asian… we work on pretty well all of it.

Whether it needs an oil change, brakes, tires, A/C work, diagnostics, suspension, electrical work, or you’ve got something that scares others, let Gearhead be your call!

Alright, Gearhead family — we need your help!

Gearhead Autoworks made the Best of Wichita ballot in THREE categories this year:

For a small independent shop in Maize, seeing Gearhead on that ballot is pretty freaking cool. We’ve grown because of our customers continuing to trust us, recommend us, leave reviews, and spread the word about what we’re building.

It’s not every day we get to put a McLaren on the rack. 😎

This 650S Spider stopped by Gearhead Autoworks for some routine maintenance. Whether it’s your daily driver, weekend toy, work truck, or something a little more exotic, the same rule applies: take care of it and it’ll take care of you.

We invest heavily in the tooling, equipment, information, and training needed to properly service what comes through our doors — and sometimes what comes through the doors is just really cool.

If your cabin air filter is coming apart in chunks, it may be time for a new one. 😅

This is the filter that’s supposed to clean the air coming through your vehicle’s HVAC system before it reaches the cabin.

A dirty or deteriorating cabin filter can restrict airflow, make your A/C work harder, and send dust and debris through the vents.

They’re easy to forget about—but this one definitely gave us a reminder. 😂

This weather has been wreaking havoc on vehicles lately! 🥵

We’ve seen SO many dead and failing batteries, A/C problems, and heat-related issues coming through the shop.

At Gearhead Autoworks, we believe staying current with our tools, equipment, and technology is just as important as staying current with the vehicles we work on. Not every problem is obvious… until you open it up.

This control board came in with an electrical concern. At first glance, everything looked pretty normal. Once it was removed, though… corrosion told the real story.

That green and white buildup isn’t just ugly—it creates resistance, causes intermittent failures, and can eventually take out components that were perfectly good to begin with.

This is exactly why we don’t believe in throwing parts at a problem. Proper diagnostics save time, save money, and get to the actual root cause instead of just guessing.
