A little charcoal stitching makes a big difference!

This 2020 Harley-Davidson Street Glide seat received our Double Decker Memory Foam modification in both the driver's and passenger's seating areas.

We also lowered the driver's riding position and moved it back to provide a more comfortable riding position.

We made a new custom cover featuring double diamond stitching in our high-contrast S8 UVR Charcoal thread and recovered the passenger backrest to match.

Comfort, style, and a clean factory appearance all rolled into one!

A lot of double diamonds and gator on this one.
This 2017 Harley-Davidson Road King seat came in for our Double Decker modification in both the driver and passenger sitting areas.
We made a new cover with double-diamond stitching throughout the seating areas, finished with black double top-stitching and black gator on the sides.
To tie everything together, we also recovered both the tour pack backrest and the regular passenger backrest to match.
Clean, all black, and just enough texture to make the details stand out.

This one was challenging.

This 2025 Indian Challenger seat came to us needing more than just a comfort upgrade.

We performed our Double Decker Memory Foam modification to the driver’s seating area and moved the rider’s position 2 inches forward. For the passenger, we performed our Wide single-layer memory foam modification to give them more usable seating width and support.

The biggest challenge was the cover.
We wanted to keep the seat looking as close to factory as possible, so we used the same style materials as the original cover, including semi-perforated material and smooth marine-grade vinyl.
With the passenger seating area widened and the driver’s backrest section moved forward 2 inches, the cover layout had to be adjusted to fit the new shape of the seat. It threw us a little curveball, but we are very happy with the final result.
It looks like it came from the factory — exactly what we were aiming for.

If you stop by the shop, you may notice things look a little different around here!
We’ve been giving the showroom a much-needed makeover, and it’s finally starting to come together. The walls and trim are finished, the new TV is up and running with a slideshow of some of our recent work, and we’re slowly getting everything cleaned up and reorganized.
We still have quite a bit we want to do, but it’s already a big improvement from where we started.
Little by little, it’s starting to look like the shop we’ve had in mind.

2022 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special seat we just finished.

We did our Super Narrow modification to the driver’s sitting area, lowering the ride height and narrowing the thigh area to help the rider achieve maximum footing when stopped.

We also made a new custom cover featuring double-diamond stitching in our S8 UVR High-Contrast Silver thread. ASR Graphics finished it off by embroidering the #1 in grayscale on the driver’s backrest section.

Black, silver, and that grayscale embroidery came together perfectly on this one.

Five years later, it was time for a fresh look.

We originally worked on this 2018 Harley-Davidson Ultra seat about five years ago. The customer was ready to change things up a little, so while it was back at the shop, we refreshed the foam and made an entirely new cover.

For the new look, we went with hexagon-stitched centers in Black S8 thread, surrounded the seating areas with Black Gator, and finished the rest of the top stitching with our Off-White/Cream S8 UVR High-Contrast thread.

The cream stitching adds just enough contrast to break up all the black without taking away from the gator and hexagon pattern.

We also recovered the factory tour pack backrest to match the seat, tying the whole setup together.

It’s always cool getting one of our older seats back in the shop and giving it a completely different look for the next several years.

Huge congratulations to Michael Bumgarner Racing on winning their third consecutive Track Championship at Hickory Motor Speedway!

Winning one track championship is something most racers will never experience. Winning three straight at a track with the history and reputation of Hickory Motor Speedway is a major accomplishment and says a lot about the hard work, consistency, and dedication of Michael and everyone behind this team.

We are now working on these seats again.

For years, we have not offered modifications on Saddlemen seats—and there was a good reason for that.

Years ago, we modified one for a customer who wanted to sit lower with the thigh area narrowed. Because of the way that particular seat and cover were made, the original cover would no longer fit cleanly after the changes. The only way to finish it to our standards would have been to make an entirely new cover.

If we can’t complete a job properly and have it leave here looking right, we would rather not do it. So, from that point forward, we stopped modifying Saddlemen seats.

However, some of the newer Saddlemen seat designs are made differently, which now allows us to modify certain models—to an extent. We can improve the comfort while maintaining the stock riding position or, depending on the rider’s needs and the seat’s design, make limited changes to the height and thigh area.

These seats are typically expensive, and even a seat that promises comfort may not be comfortable for every rider. If you already own one and it isn’t working for you, you may now have another option.

And if you’re considering purchasing an aftermarket seat strictly for comfort, remember that we can modify your factory seat instead. In many cases, you can get the comfort you’re looking for while keeping the factory appearance and saving a considerable amount of money.

Blue Gator with a touch of Black Ostrich.

2016 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Ultra Limited seat and tour pack backrest we just finished.

We performed our Double Decker Memory Foam modification on the driver’s seating area, reshaping it to better distribute the rider’s weight and rebuilding it with two layers of memory foam designed specifically for seating applications.

For the new cover, we used Blue Gator in both the driver and passenger seating areas with a Black Ostrich accent band to add some contrast. All of the top stitching was done using our S8 High Contrast UVR Blue thread, which really ties the whole combination together.

We also recovered the factory tour pack backrest pad to match the seat.

I knew something was off when this seat came out of the box… but I definitely wasn’t expecting THIS. 😳

This CVO/ST Road Glide seat came in to be modified, and the first thing I noticed was that the cover didn’t fit correctly. That usually means somebody has already been inside the seat, so we removed the cover to see what was going on.

Well… now we know.

The factory foam in the driver’s backrest area had been completely cut out and replaced with what appears to be mattress-topper memory foam, and then the whole backrest section was wrapped in duct tape.

We’ve seen a lot of things over the years, but this one definitely made us stop and shake our heads for a minute.

Needless to say, we’ve got some work to do to get this one straightened out the right way.

Stay tuned, and we’ll show the finished result when it’s done.
