Made an onsite service call to customer who did their own battery pack swap on their Nissan Leaf and was having issues.

On the way back I stopped at Napleton Ford Columbus to test my CHAdeMO to CCS1 adapter. Worked great on the first try!

Doing some rural mobile service and tested my CHAdeMO to CCS1 adapter at Bell Ford, Arlington, Wisconsin . It worked great! Nice to have an additional spot to charge in case I'm running low. Bonus, it was a reasonable 30 cents per kWh.

FYI I'm driving a 2015 Leaf that I upgraded the battery from 24 kWh to 62 kWh. Went from 70 mile range to ~200 miles.

Buyer Beware!! Scam Alert!!
This seller's listing stole my photo. Photo 15 of the dash, showing 285 miles of range.

The only way you get that range in a 2011 Leaf is when a $13,000 battery upgrade is installed.

I've reported the scammer. Please warn others. If a price/deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Another satisfied customer! Swapped out their old 2012 24kWh pack for a 2021 62kWh pack.

Went from 35 mile range to ~200+ miles.
(Although Nissan's Guess-o-meter wildly suggests even more!)

While it is currently still a $13,000-$16,000 job I will continue to strive to find the best priced and vetted options for our customers.

I was interviewed by the Cap Times recently for an article about EVs and cold weather.

Pick up a copy or check out the online version. Well written and informative.

They even gave a shout out to my EV "Concierge" service where I talk with drivers about their driving habits and needs, and help them find an EV/PHEV vehicle to fit.

As electric vehicles gain popularity, Madison drivers say concerns about reduced range and longer charging times are generally overblown.

I was able to get the CCS to CHAdeMO adapter to work at the Shell Green lots charger at the MG&E Charging Hub downtown Madison.

I also tried it at two separate supercharger locations with an additional NACS to CCS1, but couldn't get it to work. Dang. I'll see if I can get some sort of software update to make that happen in the future.

Successful test of my new CCS1 to CHAdeMO adapter.

This allows the Nissan Leaf to be DC fast charged at stations that do not have CHAdeMO dispensers.

This was at the Chargepoint station on East Washington Ave in Madison.
