Things are heating up around the shop - quite literally! 🥵

……and we are still getting vehicles that we are evaluating for hail damage!

We’ve been able to turn out some cars who just needed PDR work and not other extensive body work. The cars coming out are looking fabulous!

Things have gone relatively smooth with that process. On the other side, estimates are still being submitted - we’ve hit some snags with parts and insurance companies that have held some jobs up, but hopefully we are about to break through some of that frustration!

We do appreciate the patience AND the business more than you know!

Been awhile since we’ve posted an update so here we go!

Dealing with insurance is not always fun and is most definitely always very time consuming!

Since the first hail storm the phone at the shop has been ringing 24/7. It is taking weeks to input the estimates into the computer because we have over 80 of them and they are a very important and detailed step into making sure your claim is processed correctly.

Because of this, repair work in the shop has slowed when we were already booked out a at least a month in advance before this.

And just because it hailed doesn’t mean the deer 🦌 play nice and stay off the roads or wrecks have stopped and those vehicles are not drivable.

Now a lot of customers have been hit with a second wave of hail damage - this time it was bigger! HOLY HAIL is right! 🫣

Once we get all the estimates completed, (which we’re getting close) we can start scheduling work. We do have extra help that will come on board to help us when that step starts. The estimate part and dealing with adjusters on the phone for hours a day is the biggest part of this process.

If it seems as we’re not doing anything, we promise you we are.

We appreciate your patience - this is definitely a marathon, not a race. 🏁

For a one-man operation this has been a major event and we are working through it the best we can.

We appreciate the opportunity to serve all of you.

Happy Thursday everyone!

Just wanted to provide an update on where we are with the hail estimates.

We are still surveying damage and will be reaching out to the last of the Gridley folks soon.

We have assessed nearly 80 vehicles so this is taking a tremendous amount of time to assess the damage, upload all the pictures and input all the data into the estimating system.

We are starting to enter some estimates and will start scheduling vehicles soon.

We do appreciate your patience - we do have extra help coming once the repairs start happening but regardless, this will be a lengthy process.

Just wanted to give an update as we’ve been extremely busy trying to finish up jobs to clear the way for the hail repairs to start!

We’ll be reaching out to you individually as soon as your estimate is complete.

The hail damage has been considerable and we have been working tirelessly trying to get all the cars looked at. We plan to be back in Gridley tonight (5/6/26) and tomorrow evening (5/7/26) to continue surveying the damage.

We will head that way late afternoon and will start reaching out to those we hope to evaluate once we get on the road. If you don't hear from us tonight, we are hoping we can get it wrapped up tomorrow or Friday for sure.

Again, this does take about 30-40 minutes per car and several have multiple vehicles to look at.

Once this phase is complete, we will start processing claims for those who are turning in the damage. We will keep you updated as best as we can to let you know where we are in the process.

Again, if you are still expecting us, please have your vehicle clean and insurance/claim info available to help us expedite the process.

We really appreciate your patience.

Gridley folks:

You will be hearing from us tomorrow about a time slot to look at your vehicle the first of the week.

We do ask that cars be relatively clean as it makes it much easier to see damage. It does take about 30-40 minutes per car to evaluate thoroughly.

Also, please be prepared with insurance information and a claim number if you have already turned the damage in.

Took the show on the road to Gridley tonight! This was our first ever (in over 30 years) of having this many vehicles to assess all at once. We knocked 15 vehicles out tonight. We plan to be back the first of the week. We will contact those of you we didn’t get to tonight this weekend to schedule a time slot for you! We appreciate your patience and for giving us the opportunity to help you weather this storm .

UPDATE: Due to the volume of calls we are getting about hail damage from the Gridley area, we plan to be in Gridley Thursday evening. If you have a vehicle you would like for us to look at, please feel free to message us, comment below, or call/text 620-437-7330 and we will get you on the list.

Please know that we have a reputable Paint-less Dent Repairman that can repair metal back to its original shape from the underside saving factory paint without filler or repainting. This process costs the customer considerably less while preserving your vehicles value! We can do all the repairs right here in the shop making it convenient for those in the area! Also, please remember that it’s best if we can snap the pictures of the damage for you.
