Let’s talk about quality. Integrity in your work. Especially with paying a VERY HIGH ticket price.
This is from a very well known body shop. I don’t name names, but this is an example of not taking pride in your work. Not doing the job 100%, but still expecting the insurance company to pay out a humongous price tag.
This is not acceptable.
Also, note the swirls in the paint. This is AFTER a PAINT CORRECTION from a very well known detail shop. This detail shop claims to have PAINT CORRECTED the hood, bumper, driver’s side front and rear door. Clearly, they didn’t. Would you like to know the price this shop charged for ‘PAINT CORRECTION’ and ceramic coating two doors? $1,000.
Want to know about how long that would’ve taken me to wash, decon the paint, polish and coat? Maybe an hour. Do the math. That’s money. But for a SUBPAR job.
This is an educational post, hard to believe I know.
This is something I’m very passionate about. Don’t rip off my people. Actually, don’t rip anyone off. Be HONEST. Don’t chase dollar amounts. Chase relationships and building trust. Chase fixing someone’s problems, not creating more like this job has done.
Always, always, ALWAYS triple check the work before leaving the body shop. If you have a professional maintaining your vehicle, see if they’ll come out and look at it before you take it back. These body shops AND detail shops need to be held accountable. This makes all of us detailers look bad.
