As we prepare for Thanksgiving Day, it can be difficult sometimes to feel thankful. The cares of this world, the disappointments and the pains, the financial strains can get us wallowing in darkness and fear.
It can be hard to see all the blessings we have been given. The little joys that make us smile, even bitter sweet smiles.
We may not have great resources or good health. We may have financial woes and shortcomings. Maybe we are mourning the loss of a loved one. These are struggles that are very real, to be sure.
Maybe, though, a loved one, a child or parent has had a blessing that you are thankful for. Maybe a fresh start, this season, gives you reason to see a light in the darkness.
If we search ourselves, our hearts and our lives, we can ALL find something, maybe one thing to start that we have need to be thankful for.
God does not move in all our lives the same way. However, if we pay attention and we look around us, we can see Him move somewhere. In the lives of our loved ones and ours as well.
This year, if things seem dark, look for that one thing that you know is God moving.
Thank Him for that.
Have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.
