Thought this should be shared for all. This was my reply to another thread you might not see.
All comments are appreciated. Organization this year is entirely my fault. My job really got the best of me this year. This has really been a one man show the past couple years, but we have already made plans for next year to have some help in areas like PR/social media. It wasn’t easy getting the show together in the time I had available, but we still had a great time.
Motorstadt will continue to be the 2nd Saturday in June. We have weighed options on moving it, but with the short summer, we would just end up running into other events, holidays, vacations, event space booking, etc. we are not trying to compete with other events and in the Case of Gridlife, these are two totally different events. So you have a choice.
The food vendor was a scheduling mishap we couldn’t avoid. They will be back next year. And quite honestly with the small turnout/weather this year it probably turned out better for them. Seeburger's Cheeseburgers are great people to work with and we will continue to support them as they do us.
We are all car guys/girls and the decision to expand the show to an all euro event and even let other models participate was to help keep the show going and let folks that no longer have VAG cars, but love the show be able to participate and help support while adding a bit of variety outside of our small community. These are small classes and we feel it doesn’t take away from the show being a VW/Audi event at its core.
Thank you to all who attended and continue to support the show and as I said earlier, your comments are welcome and appreciated. Hope to see you next year on June, 8
