Picked up on Friday. Drive like a champ. Clearly needed some maintenance but all things pointed to it holding up for the 2 days I needed to drive it before going to Japan. Then struck. 645am through the 405 Esses damn downpour hits. Go through a river “very slowly might I add” and dash lights up like a Christmas tree. Little bit down the road…… coolant temp spikes. All do to a drive belt that left the chat. Still made it to Team Menace 206 car show thanks to Edwin Mendez for hooking up a AAA tow and I still got to hang out with the Intecracing fam for the day.

Never fails that you show your Evo some love and all they do is hate you for it. But I still love her all the same.

Woot!! SPARCO USA QRT-R are finally permanently in and they feel great. One more step left before she’s ready for Canyon Run Sundays | CRS Track Events at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway

Need to get some time in with Jon to do some repair to the floor after my failed attempt at installing the roll bar. Lol don’t ask. It’s not pretty. 😅😅 after that the Sparco harnesses can go in and it’ll be pretty well ready to go.

But for now the Sparco’s are in. They fit and feel great and there’s still plenty of time to get Caitlin comfortable and driving before the track.

.media took a few laps around Chuckwalla with in our S2000 NatsukiS2k last week while we were attending .garage track day.

The sequential transmission and Mod Twin clutch continue to put the biggest smiles on our faces with the incredible performance they provide and the sweet sounds they produce. 🎶🎶🎶

Have had the DE5 out at Chuck Wednesday and again today. It’s 90 degree ambient both days. Easily 100 track temp. Installed the WOT under tray before I came out.

Very pleased to say that the coolant gauge has not moved at all in every session run so far (7 sessions).

The car is is stock cooling otherwise. Previous at Chuck after about 2 laps the coolant temp would start to raise. Not to same levels as the FK8 but would still raise.

I don’t have actual coolant temp degree data but I’ll take the dash gauge as a good indicator that the tray is working.

Speaking of track events. We had out at back in February to get some more shake down done on the gearbox and Mod Twin. managed to bring home some unexpected hardware in the process.

It was a pretty big deal for me to have the car I envisioned for years finally earning a podium. Hopefully the first of many more trophies to add to the collection.
