An insurance company may request you to visit their drive in claims center before bringing the car to your repairer. We suggest that you notify your insurance company that you want your vehicle seen at the repair shop only. Let the repair shop, that will be repairing your car, negotiate your claim with the insurance company. A consumer can go to many body shops for an estimate, and will in turn receive many different prices for those repairs. Estimates of how much a repair will cost should not be the deciding factor in where to repair your car. Anyone can underwrite an estimate and give a cheaper price, but the question is what will your car look like after those repairs? An improper repair can decrease the value and safety of your vehicle. Please do your self a favor and your family a favor do not base a body shop's work on a promise of a cheaper price. Base it on the recommendations of their prior performance with other customers.
