A Toyota Tundra rolled in needing relief from the North Carolina sun, and it left with carbon window film at 35 percent.

Here is why the film choice matters. Window tint is not one product. Dyed films soak up heat at the glass, fade toward purple, and bubble as the adhesive ages. Carbon film rejects infrared heat and UV before either reaches the cabin, holds its color for the long haul, and adds real privacy. In Lumberton, where summer heat stays constant and the UV index stays punishing, that difference shows up on every drive.

We treat window tinting as problem solving. We look at how the truck gets used, prep the glass thoroughly, cut the film with computer cut software, and install in a climate controlled studio so dust never contaminates the adhesive. Proper prep decides how the film looks years from now, and full size trucks carry a lot of glass.

OC Detailing serves Lumberton, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Laurinburg with obsessive care on every vehicle.

A black interior and a Lumberton summer do not get along, and the last two weeks proved it.

This returning client's GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali felt every degree. He tows trailers and runs country roads at night, so a dark tint on the windshield was never an option. Instead of handing him a shade that would not fit his life, we walked him through the options and landed on 50 percent ceramic window film. It cuts infrared heat and UV rays through the biggest piece of glass on the truck while keeping his night visibility right where it needs to be. That is the OCD problem solving approach in action.

We install ceramic window tint from Union Window Films backed by a lifetime warranty, not the dyed film that fades purple and bubbles after a couple of summers. Every install happens in our climate controlled studio in Lumberton with computer cut software for a precise fit and certified installers who educate first and never pressure.

Obsessive care, every time. Proudly serving Lumberton, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Laurinburg.

This Chevrolet Silverado came back to the studio after we previously installed carbon window tint on the side and rear windows. The client felt the heat was still too intense inside the cab, so he returned looking for a more aggressive solution. We installed 50% ceramic window tint across the side windows, rear windows, and windshield.

The windshield is the largest piece of glass on the truck, and without ceramic tint on it, you are leaving a significant amount of infrared and UV energy unchecked inside that cab. The 50% shade was the right call here. It delivers serious heat and infrared rejection while keeping visibility sharp during night driving, which matters on these dark county roads.

Ceramic tint is not just about blocking light. It blocks the energy that light carries, and that difference is felt immediately. The client noticed it before he even left the parking lot.

When the heat is this relentless, the right solution is the one built around science, not just shade.

A Silverado that logs real miles does not need gimmicks. It needs a cooler cab, less glare, and privacy that still feels comfortable after dark.

This truck came back to OC Detailing after we installed 5% carbon window tint on the side and rear glass. That film did its job, but the windshield is the biggest piece of glass on the truck, and summer heat kept pouring through it. The answer was 50% ceramic window tint.

Ceramic film uses no dye and no metal. It rejects infrared heat and blocks UV at a level dyed film does not reach, and at 50% it stays light enough for a clean view at night. We computer cut the pattern for this exact windshield, prepped the glass, and installed the film in our climate controlled studio in Lumberton NC so nothing contaminated the bond.

Now the cab holds cooler, the dash and interior take less UV abuse, and the driver keeps clear visibility day or night. The carbon film still handles privacy while the windshield handles heat. That is the kind of result we want for drivers across Lumberton, Robeson County, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Laurinburg. Obsessive care. Every time.

Ceramic window film was the answer for this Chevrolet Silverado Black Widow.

Black paint soaks up sunlight, and this truck was pushing heat straight onto the front passengers. The owner felt it on every drive. We approached it the way we approach everything: identify the actual problem before recommending a material.

We installed ceramic tint at 20 percent on the front doors and across the sunroof. Ceramic particles reject infrared heat rather than just darkening the glass, so the cabin stays cooler without going darker than the owner wanted. Infrared rejection is what separates ceramic film from dyed film, and on a black truck in a Lumberton summer, that difference is not subtle. This is how we solve problems at the studio. Listen first, match the film to the complaint, prep the glass, install with precision.

A truck this size, in this color, sees serious sun exposure year round. Vehicles like this especially benefit from this level of protection.

North Carolina heat is no joke, and your windows are one of the first places you feel it.

When this Kia Sportage came to the studio, the owner already knew what they wanted. They had done their research, looked at our history of work, and paid attention to how we treat our clients from start to finish. That reputation made the decision easy for them, and we were glad to deliver.

We kept everything legal and dialed in with ceramic window film across the entire vehicle. The front doors received 35% to stay within North Carolina's legal limit. The rear windows came in at 20% for added privacy and heat rejection. The windshield got a 70% clear film that blocks UV and infrared heat without affecting visibility.

Every panel is now working to reduce heat load inside the cabin, protect against UV exposure, and make every drive more comfortable no matter what the Lumberton sun throws at it.

This is what professional window tint looks like when it is done with care and precision.

How soon can a rock chip find a brand new front bumper? On a car that sits as low as this BMW M340i, the answer is often the first highway drive home.

The owner brought it straight to our studio in Lumberton after purchase, and we started with paint protection film on the bumper and headlights using computer cut patterns for precise coverage. While the car was here, they asked about window tint for privacy. We recommended our most requested setup, carbon film at 5% on the side and rear glass with 35% on the windshield to keep forward visibility crisp. The next day they called back to add full hood coverage, realizing the biggest panel on the car faces the same debris as the bumper.

At pickup the owner was thrilled. Pairing front end film with carbon tint gives this BMW lasting protection against rock chips, UV exposure, and interior heat, preserving its condition and value for years of driving in Robeson County.

Ever wonder what a brand new performance SUV actually needs before it faces its first Lumberton summer?

This Dodge Durango Hellcat came to us fresh off the lot, and even new vehicles carry rail dust, transport residue, and dealership wash marks. Our inspection found light marring across the hood and doors before any coating went down.

We started with a full decontamination to pull embedded particles out of the clear coat, then refined the finish and locked it in with our two year ceramic coating package. Every panel now carries hydrophobic protection against UV exposure, humidity, and the grime rural highways throw at paint.

The glass received computer-cut window tint, plotted to this exact vehicle for a precise fit on every window. It cuts glare, blocks UV, and helps keep that black interior from soaking up summer heat.

The combination of ceramic coating outside and window tint throughout gives this Hellcat protection where it matters, preserving both the paint and the cabin for years of driving ahead.

The Type R is already a statement. The glass should not work against it.

35% ceramic tint across all side and rear windows keeps the cabin cooler without killing visibility or darkening the look too far. The sun strip at the top of the windshield handles that direct overhead glare during the worst hours of the day without obstructing your sightlines.

Ceramic window film is not just about aesthetics. It rejects infrared heat and blocks UV at a level that standard dyed film cannot match. In a region with this kind of summer sun and humidity, that matters for the interior materials as much as it does for the driver.

Prep is everything before any film goes down. Clean glass, no contamination, precise application. The results speak for themselves.

Every tint job in our studio starts well before the film comes out of the box. We inspect each piece of glass, deep clean every surface, and clear away anything that could get trapped underneath. Computer-cut patterns shape the film to this Toyota Tundra's exact windows, so each edge sits where it should.

This truck left with 35% carbon window tint across the cab. Carbon film brings real heat rejection and UV protection, which matters through Lumberton summers, and it holds its color instead of fading purple the way dyed films do.

Careful preparation is what makes tint last, and we treat it that way on every vehicle.

Obsessive care. Every time.
