If you know myself or my husband Scott, you know we’re “normal,” hardworking, I think, decent people lol. I wouldn’t sit here and lie to my community. And I sure wouldn’t risk my families income aka our business to do that.
If you’ve been to our shop on Atkinson, you know we try to treat each and every one of our customers exactly how we want to be treated: with dignity, mutual respect, and TRUTH.
Today I’m here to spread TRUTH about the data center coming to our community. Not just the electrical or water issues that we’ve been discussing—but the truth of what these machines actually do.
This is a PSA. A WARNING for my community. We need to understand what’s coming. Y'all, it’s been keeping me up at night. It’s been enraging me. I’m asking myself: are we going to let them do this to our families, to our children, and their children? If y'all are like me, I’d lay down my life for my kids and honestly YOURS as well. We cannot just let this happen.
There are things they don’t want you to know about this AI DATA CENTER. They’ve been purposely confusing and distracting us.
The public assumes these facilities are just giant hard drives storing emails, TikTok videos, or running friendly consumer AI apps. The terrifying reality is that these hyperscale algorithmic machines are industrial engines of corporate dominance.
They’re economic WEAPONS.
They’re built to process the world's data for the benefit of a handful of mega-corporations, at the direct expense of local communities, local businesses, and American families.
The water consumption, come to find out, is just the icing on the cake. The end game is absolutely TERRIFYING.
They’re aggressively consolidating wealth and ending local, independent capitalism. They don’t just want our digital data. They want to own our businesses, our independent trade skills, and our livelihoods. You will work for them, rent from them, and consume their products at the price they decide. That’s not a meme, that’s the actual plot.
This isn’t an exaggeration; these are verified FACTS.
Let’s strip away the NDAs, the "friendly AI" myth, and the propaganda that these are built so you can have ChatGPT or Gemini.
So here’s the reality of what those machines are actually doing inside those massive walls:
• Surveillance Capitalism at Scale:
These centers aren't answering trivia questions; they are continuously ingesting, analyzing, and building predictive models out of global human behavior. They legally purchase and process our location data, financial transactions, and online interactions from data brokers to predict and manipulate consumer habits for corporate profit. They are building a machine to know everything you do, and they are using our own power grid to run it.
• The Automation Engine:
The massive computing power inside these walls is specifically being used to train enterprise-grade AI models designed to automate YOUR jobs. They are building the infrastructure to replace everything from logistics routing and customer service to complex white-collar work and local mom-and-pop shops. It is an engine for wealth concentration, not job creation.
• High-Frequency Financial Control:
A significant portion of this compute is dedicated to high-frequency trading and algorithmic market manipulation. Wall Street and massive hedge funds use these server farms to execute millions of micro-transactions a second, extracting wealth from the economy faster than a human can blink.
• Black-Box Defense and Intelligence Contracts:
Many of the corporations building these centers hold massive government and defense contracts. The computing power is used for geopolitical simulations, mass surveillance processing, and algorithmic warfare.
The local community is footing the bill—sacrificing our land, our water, and our grid stability—so a mega-corp can build a machine designed to extract our data, automate away our jobs, destroy Main Street, and consolidate global wealth.
We’ve been so wrapped up in worrying about the ecological effects, the grid stability, and water consumption that we were missing the forest for the trees.
I too was guilty of this and I apologize; I didn’t understand the full picture until recently.
Again this is a PSA. You don’t have to believe me, do your own research—but do it fast.
An economic war IS being waged against the American middle and lower class, right now, right here in our homeland.
If we don’t have transparency, we won’t even know what hit us.
I don’t have all the answers, I don’t know what to do. All I know is I’m making a war cry and hoping this community recognizes and receives it in time to make informed decisions.
I don’t know if our local leaders are unaware of this or have signed NDAs. But this is real and we all need to decide now what we truly value. I think the best thing we can do is make sure others are aware, the general public.
We’re about to host the largest weapon yet in our own backyards, who else to ring the liberty bell for America but the folks right here in Lufkin, Texas.

Cited Sources for Data Center Realities
These are not fringe theories; these are documented business models, academic consensus, and public government contracts. These sources to prove what these machines are actually doing.
1. Surveillance Capitalism and Data Extraction
The concept that tech giants use massive computing power to ingest human behavior and turn it into predictive models for profit is established academic fact.
* Primary Source: The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff (Professor Emerita at Harvard Business School).
* The Proof: Zuboff's landmark 2019 book coined the term "surveillance capitalism," detailing how tech mega corporations extract behavioral data (location, search history, purchases) to create predictive models that manipulate consumer behavior. Hyperscale data centers are the foundational, physical repositories required to process this unimaginable volume of data.
* Industry Analysis: Reports from publications like Noema Magazine (e.g., "Reclaiming Europe's Digital Sovereignty," Oct 2025) detail how U.S. hyperscale data centers are the brutally material infrastructure—consuming local energy, water, and land—used to consolidate global economic power and extract value through massive data scraping.
2. High-Frequency Financial Control (HFT)
The financial sector relies heavily on these server farms to rig the speed of the stock market in their favor, a practice known in the industry as "colocation."
* Primary Source: Financial infrastructure providers (e.g., DataBank, Sify Technologies, QuestDB).
* The Proof: High-Frequency Trading (HFT) firms lease physical space inside or directly adjacent to these data centers (a service called "Exchange Co-Location"). They do this to position their servers as close to the exchange engines as possible. By reducing the distance data travels, hedge funds execute automated trades in microseconds, front-running the public market and extracting billions in fractional profits before a human trader can even blink.
3. Black-Box Defense and Intelligence Contracts
The computing power driving the current AI boom is deeply intertwined with massive military and surveillance contracts.
* Primary Source: U.S. Department of Defense Budgets and Public Contract Awards.
* The Proof: The 2026 U.S. Defense Budget includes a dedicated $13.4 billion specifically for AI and autonomous systems.
* The Proof: Programs like Project Maven (the Pentagon's flagship AI program that processes satellite imagery, drone video, and surveillance data for target acquisition) and the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability (JWCC) (a $9 billion contract split between Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Oracle) run entirely on the compute power provided by these massive corporate data centers. Furthermore, companies like Anduril Industries recently signed a $20 billion framework contract with the Army to integrate AI directly into battlefield awareness.
4. The Automation Engine (Enterprise Job Replacement)
These centers are not running consumer chatbots; they are training "Enterprise AI" and "Agentic Workflows" specifically designed to replace human labor and consolidate all small mom and pop business.
* Primary Source: Goldman Sachs Macroeconomic Research.
* The Proof: In their widely cited economic research report on AI, Goldman Sachs estimated that generative AI could expose the equivalent of 300 million full-time jobs to automation.
* Primary Source: Enterprise Software Sector Job Markets.
* The Proof: Look at the current hiring boards for tech giants and enterprise software companies (like C3. ai or Palo Alto Networks). The massive capital currently being spent is on developing "Agentic AI"—systems designed to orchestrate complex, multi-step corporate tasks without human intervention. The data centers are the factories actively building the replacements for modern logistics, customer service, white-collar work and independently owned businesses.
