Some people use their phone.
Some people use a planner.
Some people set alarms.

Sam apparently leaves himself ancient automotive hieroglyphics and just trusts that Future Sam will know what the hell Past Sam was talking about.

The worst part?

He does. 😂

No words. No labels. Just a few lines, a couple suspicious shapes, and 20+ years of car-guy brain filling in the blanks.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are staring at the board like we just uncovered the first known transmission diagram from 3,000 B.C.

A few progress shots of our first C6 Corvette A&A Supercharger install here at Red’s Speed Shop! 🔥

So far, so good and we’re rolling right along. We’ve got most of the radiator modifications finished, the intercooler mounted, most of the piping in place, and the supercharger itself installed. We also got the new belt routed, pinned the crank, and installed a new ATI damper.

This is our first one, so we’re taking our time and making sure everything is done right. I have a feeling by the time we get through the next couple of these, we’re going to be knocking them out faster and faster. 😎

Can’t wait to hear this one come to life and see what kind of difference the boost makes! 💨

Sunday shop spotlight! 🔧🔥

We just wrapped up this super clean 1984 C10 with a 383 small-block Chevy. The truck was built old-school, so the goal was to modernize it without taking away from what makes it cool.

We installed a Holley mid-mount accessory drive with a serpentine belt setup, which really cleaned up the front of the engine bay. We also converted it to dual electric fans and added a new trinary switch so the fans are controlled by both engine temperature and the Vintage Air A/C system.

From there, we stepped into the fuel system with a Holley Sniper 2 EFI setup. Both tanks came down, we installed Holley in-tank returnless fuel pumps regulated at 60 PSI, and added a new high-pressure selector valve so the factory dual-tank setup still works like it should.

Everything came together, fired up, and was ready just in time for the owner to hit the road on a 500-mile trip. 😎

Old-school 383 attitude with modern drivability and reliability — exactly how we like them.

🔥 FORCED INDUCTION FRIDAY 🔥

I guess it’s true — good things really do come in threes. 😎

We’ve got THREE A&A Corvette supercharger kits sitting here ready to go, and THREE customers lined up waiting to get some boost added to their Corvettes.

Car #1 is already in the shop — a 2005 Corvette powered by the LS2, GM’s 6.0L all-aluminum V8. We recently installed a set of long-tube headers, a Snake Charmer ram-air intake, and a custom tune. Other than that, the car is pretty much stock.

After driving it for a little while, the owner realized pretty quick that it needed just a little more snap. 😂

Before tearing into it, we strapped the Dragy in and made a baseline street hit. The car went a 13.08 in the 1/4 mile.

Now it’s time for the A&A supercharger.

You'll hear me say Andrea "built" this shop. And “built” doesn’t mean filing paperwork from somewhere air-conditioned.

It was Andrea outside in hundred-degree Texas heat, tearing heads off cars. It was long days, dirty hands and doing whatever needed to be done to turn an idea into something real. She did it because she understood loss, and wanted to find a way to create a legacy for my dad.

Even after the business could stand on its own, she never stopped showing up for it. She does it while working, traveling, leading others and still finds time to help Red’s whenever we need her.

Now, Plumbing & Mechanical and Supply House Times have named her one of the 2026 Next Gen All-Stars: Top 40 Under 40 PHCP-PVF Professionals.

We watched her build this shop. Now, we get to watch her build something even bigger for herself.

Can’t hardly complain about how bad your day is when one of your good customers shows up with fajitas for two right when you needed a break. 😂

Not sure if Donnie is trying to sweeten the deal on the supercharger we’re about to install on his car, but whatever his strategy is… it’s working. 🤣

This ’84 C10 is moving right along! 🔥

This truck already has a pretty salty 383 stroker under the hood, and now we’re upgrading everything around it to make it run, drive, and perform even better.

We’ve already installed 2.5-inch drop spindles to get the stance right, and now we’re knocking out a Holley Mid-Mount accessory drive, electric fan conversion, an upgraded Vintage Air pressure switch, and a Holley Sniper 2 EFI system.

We’re also upgrading the fuel system with dual fuel pumps and a new tank selector valve designed for EFI pressures up to 60 PSI.

Once this Holley Sniper 2 is dialed in, that 383 should be a completely different animal.

Old-school small-block Chevy with modern Holley EFI—hard to beat that combination. 😎

Well, we definitely weren’t expecting these to show up on a Saturday! 😂

Two of our A&A Corvette Performance supercharger systems just landed for a couple of customer cars, and we’re excited to announce that Red’s Speed Shop is now an authorized A&A dealer!

If you’ve got a Corvette and you’ve been thinking about taking it to the next level, we can now help you get set up with an A&A centrifugal supercharger system, installation, and tuning.

The next few weeks are going to be pretty Corvette-heavy around here. We’ve got two kits in the shop now, and the third kit shipped yesterday, so we’re about to stay busy installing superchargers on some really nice cars.

We’ll keep y’all updated throughout the installs, and once everything is finished and tuned, we’ll get some videos of these cars running, driving, and making some boost.

And who knows… maybe one of these days, if we can ever get caught up on customer work, we’ll pull the C5 Z06 shop car inside and put a supercharger on it too. 😎
