Shabbat Shalom from J&W! 🕯️BUSY, busy week ya'll:

This week's diagnostics turned into a parts hunt. We ran down this, that, and the other to get the job done right, and we’re running a little behind tonight. We’d rather finish late than leave a job half-done.

Here’s a little sneak peek: we’re working on a vehicle a local shop called a blown head gasket. It’s not a head gasket. If this repair finishes the way we expect, that’s a couple thousand dollars staying in somebody’s pocket. More on that soon. 👀

Next week: repairs are already on the books, but we still have a few openings for diags. Book online through the link in the comments — you can see our schedule and pick the time that works for you.

All appointments are verified before they’re confirmed.

📢 A quick note: we’re no longer taking Sunday appointments for the next couple of months. We’re resting soon and back at it Monday.

Some weeks you just stop and say thank You!!

We get to do what we love- help people & be with our family! The kids are running the fair. The ballfields are full, and fall is a gift in and of itself!

Tomorrow we close at 3 and rest for Shabbat, like always. Faith matters, family matters, rest matters.

Hello ya'll, Racheal here. I hear this nearly every day: "I put a code reader on it at _____(auto parts store.)"

Please note-a code isn’t a diagnosis — and knowing the difference can save you a pile of money!!

A parts store scan tells you where the computer noticed something. A real diagnostic tells you why — so you’re not throwing parts at it and hoping. 25 years plus of working on cars & trucks is something a code reader doesn't address too. . .

When you reach out, tell us:
— What it’s doing (noise, smell, light, shake)
— When it happens (cold start, highway, turning, braking)
— How long it’s been going on

Some customers you just don't forget. 🚗

Meet Dean — he and his wife, Sandy, rolled all the way down from Georgia in this beauty for Cruisin' the Coast. Then their trip almost got cut short.
Wesley got out there, figured out what was going on, and got Dean back to cruising, right where he belonged. They got to stay for the rest of the event.
We haven't heard from them since, and we can't help but wonder how the rest of their week went. That's the thing about this work: you meet good people on their worst day, get them going again, and then they drive off into the sunset. We think about them more than they'd ever know.

Dean and Sandy, if this finds you, we hope you had the best time on the Coast this year. 🙏

Check engine light been riding sh***un all month? We’ve set Thursday and Friday aside for diagnostics — let US take care of that for you.

Good morning, friends — head of the week! We’re breathing a little easier this Monday. That storm had plenty of room to come our way, and we’re thankful we weren’t its main target. Our hearts are with everybody who caught the worst of it.

We had a great week — and we pray you did too. Fall has finally landed in George County, and we’re soaking it up.

This week we’re out on repairs, so next Thursday and Friday are for diagnostics and the bigger jobs. We come right to your driveway or job site — no tow, no waiting room.

Friends, it’s raining here in Lucedale, and Isaias is tracking east of us toward Florida. Like most businesses around George County today, we’re on standby.
For the rest of today, and through tomorrow if needed, J&W is taking EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY across our 60-mile service area. If you’re stranded, broke down, or your vehicle won’t start and you need to get somewhere, call or text us. We’ll come as soon as the roads are safe to travel.
Tomorrow is our Shabbat, and we rest. But an ox in the ditch is an ox in the ditch (Luke 14:5). If you’re truly in a bind, we’ll come when it’s safe to come.
