So we were forced to abandon our company’s original trademark (Performance Engineering) due to legal issues from the state board of engineering. Fair enough. So we needed a new identity. Fast. I’ve been wrestling with what to call us ever since. I’ve always called PE stuff “killer bolts” because they looked…well…killer to me. Trying to keep things clean, crisp, and modern with a little edge. Whadda ya think?

In case anyone was wondering, the Texas Board of Engineers sent notice a while back that even though our business name had been in use since 1982, the business was incorporated in another state. As such, when we bought it and moved it to Texas, it violated the state Engineering Practice Act. So we had to change.

We went with Performance Rodware since "Rodware" was an abandoned trademark that Mr. Gasket used to use but hadn't since 1996, so it would be fair game. However, we were recently told it would be best to just start fresh. Se we are going with PerformanceBillet and that's it! Hopefully thus endenth a long and painful lesson in trademark and copyright!

It's all still the same stuff...only the name has changed!

I'm in the process of ordering new packaging and changing everything over to the new trademarks.
