A huge thank you to everyone who helped make tonight happen!! our drivers, fans, sponsors, staff, officials, vendors, and everyone who put in the work behind the scenes.

There were plenty of obstacles, a whole lot of rain, and more than a few people who weren’t sure we’d pull it off but here we are.

To the ones who believed in us, thank you for the support. To the ones who doubted us, thank you for the motivation.

Tonight proved once again that Deep South Speedway doesn’t quit easy. We appreciate every person who came through the gates and helped pack the house.

Join us at Deep South Speedway for a huge night of dirt-slinging action featuring all your favorite classes, patriotic Memorial Day weekend atmosphere, and a spectacular fireworks show during intermission!

The weather app literally said “LOL” when I just opened it so WHOEVER made mother nature mad, apologize and right now so she stays away !

At this point we’re not sure if we’re hosting a race or loading animals two-by-two! The good news is the ark finally floated by. The bad news is it apparently stopped at Weaber Valley Speedway and never made it to Deep South.

With that said, bring your chairs (stands are pretty wet) bring your rain boots (because it is a dirt track after all) and let’s make the best of it!

3 PM update! still a go — we just can’t have any more rain, so keep doing your voodoo or whatever it is. 😂

We’ll be running classes for Street Stock, Pure Stock, Factory Stock, Stinger, 604 and Open Mods.

I better NOT catch nobody out here drawing a rain turtle. 🐢☔

We have fought too hard, prayed too much, checked too many weather apps, and sacrificed enough race nights already.

If I see a turtle drawn in the dirt, we're gonna assume you're working for Mother Nature and trying to sabotage Saturday night racing. 😂

Draw sunshine.Draw race cars.Draw checkered flags.Draw dollar signs.

But leave the rain turtles ALONE.
