Dear Friends & Coworkers,
Once Again, I have accepted the challenge to ride 100 miles in the 2016 Bike to Beat Cancer and raise funds to support the Norton Cancer Institute, September 17th, 2016. Cancer has touched all of our lives in one way or another. I'm riding in support of my UAW Brother & Friend, Bernie Ballard that is currently fighting stage 4 Brain and Lung Cancer, Ford supervisor & friend, Angela Smith currently battling stage 2 breast cancer, and for the memory of my friend Rick Thomas. Rick battled Colon Cancer for nearly 2 years and lost on May 6, 2013. He was a great Friend, a husband, and a role model to all that knew him.
The Louisville Assembly Plant has supported me in the past and I'm once again asking for your support. The Bike to Beat Cancer, raises critical funds to help prevent and beat cancer in our community. All dollars raised by me and my fellow riders will go directly to support cancer research, prevention and treatment right here in our own community at the Norton Cancer Institute.
It is faster and easier than ever to support my ride by making your tax-deductible donation online using the link below. If you would prefer, you can send your contribution to the address listed below. Please note on your donation that you are supporting me. Whatever you can give will help - it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Thank you,
Jim Fisher Jr.
