Been a while since the last post. Here are the updates: I now have a faster, cheaper, lighter and more robust transport method for the counterweight. On the electrical side, I switched to Teensy4 for the memory and speed. Still working on porting the old Arduino code, but that shouldn’t be a problem.

In it’s second iteration, the prototype is lighter, faster, cheaper and more robust. I moved the motor on the carriage to act as active weight rather than deadweight. Switced from a ballscrew to a cog belt and added a bit of suspension at the ends to help with vibration dampening.
